Amazon Brand - Solimo Basic Dry Dog Food, Chicken Flavor, 40 lb bag

I read many bad reviews about the food. However I decided to tried for my 3 furry girls. And they really loved. Kibbles size is perfect for my furry girls I have a Maltese, a Beagle and one labrador. So kibbles must be great size for almost all dogs (in my opinion). All my furry girls liked the food. For the price, is a bargain! Is a big bag of food. Ingredients are exactly as described, and for the price I can tell they’re accordingly and good. I bought the brand Solimo before in others products and all by the moment have been great and accordingly to the price. Also this food is Amazon brand, if your dogs don’t liked you can let know Amazon, they will be sure your 100% satisfaction as customer with the purchase ( I said that by experience). I have to tell that I tried several dog foods for my dogs since I have them, and this one is good for the price. As described. The bag have appearance of been more than 15 pounds. I have to mention that my girls are always up to date with theirs vet visits & healthy girls. Additional to the dog food I choice for my dog girls, I add always supplements to her food and as part of their diets, as per each of my dogs needs. Examples I add: Alaskan Salmon Oil, Hemp Oil, Omega fish oil supplement, food add-ons, among others. I always feed her with quality treats like: non-rawhide treats, dried capelin fish, boiled eggs, dried salmon, among others. Is not just the food that will meet all your pet dietary needs, in my opinion. I agreed the more nutrients have the food the better. This Solimo beef flavor food have the ingredients to provide the nutrients that dogs needs. I try many brands, and types of dog food, and as 4 years dog owner I can said, that Solimo Beef Flavor food is good. Fortunately I have a excellent experience with the Solimo dog food, so I felts satisfied about the decision of trying this dog food. I was surprised how much my girls liked. Hopefully, I know very well each of my girls and her needs, they’re happy furry girls & healthy pets. In my opinion is also very important know your pet/s need and pay attention to your pet care, for always have a healthy & happy pet/s. my dogs seem to like this okay and they're doing good with it as far as no vomiting/skin problems after using up the 15lb bag. It smells a bit, but then again I've found that the higher quality foods usually do so you might want to get a bin to empty into to keep the smell down. It is definitely higher quality than the standard pedigree/beneful brands. I dont know if I'd compare it to the blue Buffalo I usually get, only time will tell if its as good as that, but my dogs coats have not become lackluster (as they usually do with cheaper foods) yet. The reason it gets 4 stars is that the kibble is a bit large for smaller dogs and they don't seem to like the taste as well as the Blue because its taking them longer to eat a bowl of this.

My dog likes this food and he's picky. Meat as 2nd ingredient is good for a low priced dog food, as it's usually 3rd ingredient or lower. Context: the first ingredients listed lare the most it will contain.However, the kibble size is too big for small dogs like Chihuahuas and the like. Bigger small dogs, mediums and up, will be fine. My dog gets a little constipated with this food as well.Edit: (February 23, 2022) The food definitely causes constipation. That and the kibble large size are the only complaints.

I have been making my own dogs food for 4 years but wanted to find something more convenient. Good dog food used to be $15 to $20 more expensive than it is in 2019 but still not quite as cheap as I'd like. My home made dog food that I've been feeding my two dogs (20lb boston terrier and 40lb mutt) has been rice, chicken, sweet potato, potassium and sodium salts, brewers yeast and a multivitamin blend as well as powder egg shells for calcium (egg shells contain pure elemental calcium!).I switched them both from my home cooked food to this food overnight, no transition at all. Neither of them had digestive distress at all. Normal well formed stools the very next day, and every day since. It's been a month and everything has been a-ok!In addition to the Solimo I also bought the [Diamond All Life Stages Real Meat Recipe Dry Dog Food with Premium Ingredients with Grain & Real Cage Free Chicken 40lb]I alternate between Solimo and Diamond. This lowers the cost of the DIamond to even lower than what I was spending on homemade dogfood and raises the quality of this food. Sort of a middle ground with the duel benefits of lower cost and higher quality. In addition to lowering the overall cost of feeding it introduces some variety they may appreciate. But who knows; they're dogs, they eat anything anyway :D.Two months on and they're happy with it, no problems at all.

I got this for my fur babies when money was tight and I didn't quite have enough for their usual. The first time I got it, they seemed to really enjoy it, but the second time around, they avoided it and had zero interest in eating it until I mixed it with another brand. Upon mixing it, it was like they'd pick out the other stuff and leave this for "later." I didn't personally try it, but I'll assume it doesn't taste very good. Obviously the price is pretty decent, but.... When your dogs don't really want to eat and you buy another brand to try to convince them to finish it, it may not be that cost effective after all. I can say, that this is not a food that caused diarrhea in any of my dogs, which is excellent since some of those cheaper foods can make fur babies sick.
