Small but works very well. Cooks well.
This deep fryer was easy to assemble, the basket, and the instructions were easy to read and comprehend. The lid is very useful and keeping the splattering oil from going everywhere. We cooked fried chicken, onion rings, and french fries. It’s easy to watch the items cook through the window at the top, but it’s also easy to open and close while cooking not disturbing the heat of the oil. Reading the instructions it did say not to set the chicken on the basket first and this was my mistake as it did stick to the basket. Placing the basket in the oil and then placing the chicken in the oil solved that problem. Highly recommend. I would say the only negative is that it’s small and I was only able to do three pieces of chicken legs at a time. However, for a couple this would be the ideal machine to get. It just takes longer if you have more than two people.

Basket replacement
What I like most is that I can use this indoors without my whole house smelling like grease. The filter in the lid seems to work very well! The oil temperature, though, is questionable for the highest 375 degrees. It takes a really long time to get fully heated, and the temperature light doesn't seem to work correctly when at range. So far, my handheld temperature probe has not shown it to reach the top temperature at all. It does get hot enough, however, for the foods I have tried so far: chicken, chimichangas, poppers, and sopapillas. I like the size of the basket, as it provides plenty of room to use tools for turning items over. I limited my larger foods to a count of three and smaller foods to eight/ten. Fried foods are a treat, but not something we would eat daily, so it will take time to try more things. I think it is worth its cost so far. It is easy to take apart and clean. I would be more impressed if the temperature was more precise and the "ready" light worked better.

Great Buy!!
Great buy!Light weight. And super easy to clean , all the parts come apart easily for clean up.Heats up fast. Cooks enough french fries for 3.Only holds maybe 3 chicken drumsticks at a time thoughI love that it keeps the smell to a minimum. My whole house doesn't smell bad after use. If u open a window for a bit, it helps eliminate all the fried odorsLove that it's not hot to touch because sometimes my daughter cooks in the kitchen with meIt's easy to store in the closetDef recommend!

Easy. Fun. Perfect for two.
This is the first time I’ve tried deep frying, and this little gadget has made it easy and fun (and safe). It’s a very well thought-out device, and keeps the mess contained within itself. It is pretty small. You can make a modest serving of fries for two people (one large potato’s worth), or about eight medium-sized fried shrimp, or four street taco-sized tortillas for little tostadas. We just take things out, drain them, then put them on a cooking sheet in the oven at 275 to hold until everything is done.I read a bunch of the other reviews before getting it, so I’ll answer some of the concerns I saw there.I can’t imagine how this would “leak.“ The oil is contained in a one piece steel tub with an enamel finish. The max fill line is maybe halfway up the side. Maybe if you put way too high-moisture much food in at one The oil could bubble over? But we never got near the top in normal use.The sides do get warm, but even though we used it for well over an hour they never got hot enough to burn us. I was able to very carefully move the fryer a few inches (not a good idea, but possible) while in use. There are little handles/indentations on the underside so that it’s easy to pick up (when it’s cool). We have not tried any truly goopy foods yet, like tempura, funnel cakes, or beer battered fish. But we have made breaded fish and shrimp, and have had no problem with those sticking to the basket. One grabbed on a little, but it was easy to dislodge it with the tongs without losing any of the breading.Yes, you can drop stuff directly into the oil. You don’t have to put it in the basket first and then lower the basket. Somehow that wasn’t clear to me at first, but it works just fine and the manual even recommends it for some foods. Put the basket in first, then gently set the food into the oil. When it’s done you can use the basket to lift it out.Do not overlook the possibility of making fresh tortilla chips! When we were done cooking dinner one night I dropped in some little corn tortillas Just wondering what fried tortillas would do. It wasn’t until I tried them that I realized (duh!) that I had made tortilla chips. They were excellent.I have been gluten-free for about 12 years, so there are things I have not had in ages, like fish and chips, or hush puppies. Now I can make them in a way that works for me.All in all, I’m very happy with this little appliance and hardly recommend it.
