This had me hooked from minute one and Tom Hardy a class act in leading role.

A comic book character brought to the big screen played by Tom.I liked the extras that comes with the film (extras look for it) its not on alldiscs. I love to see how they did it!It is a slow build up, as people are taken over by aliens. Tom Hardy is effected too!Then the fun starts, its funny, dramatic, SIFI as Tom with his alien inside him, saves him time and again.Great show down leads to an entertaining evening. Yes It is a Popcorn film.Made all the better with an actor that takes time to play both parts at the same time, Venom and the writer a normal human. Within one body! It's at least worth a rental.

Really wanted the 3d version of this and some of them were extortionate. Then I discovered that if you want the 3d version of the film you need to complete the email me when in stock. Once you do this AMAZON emails you back with a price at the same it would have been in the UK.The filmGreat 3dGreat storylineStan Lee was in itConsThe film studios last year released more 3d blu rays than the year before. This year the film companies are phasing out the 3d format with the UK first.Fine we know that the 3d format fell flat on its face because of timing ie the crash, glasses, badly converted 3d etc...... but why release in Bangladesh, Mororavia etc...? This led to some sellers taking advantage the situation with one going for £68 I saw.What happened to Customer choice? They already have an excess of £5 on top

I'll admit in my eyes, Tom Hardy can do no wrong! I've loved watching him since Star Trek Nemesis. Although I am clearly bias, TH was the perfect choice for Eddie/venom as he is the king of neurotic character portrayal. The bonus features show just how much effort he puts into this character. In fact we all forget how much effort actually goes into making these films generally .The film did get a lot of critical reviews but as far as the films from the marvel universe go, I rate this as one of the best. It has some great action sequences, a bit of dark humour, a good cast and a great director. Definitely worth a watch!

Not ever having had any knowledge of Venom this was all new to me. Sometimes I think not having prior knowledge of a character , is an advantage when viewing. Venom is fun , it's gory , it's romantic but most of all , it is engaging. I am 53 years of age and watch these films because I have younger adults living at home. Sometimes that can be hard work but sometimes you get to be entertained , when maybe you thought you may not be. For me and in my opinion , this is entertaining and well worth watching.

The 4K ULTRA HD Blu Ray disc version of this film has greatly improved sound and picture quality over the standard Blu Ray disc version when played through a ULTRA HD Blu Ray player and a 4K ULTRA HD TV with HDR (High Dynamic Range).I would have also of liked a Venom Blu Ray 3d disc released as this was released in cinemas in a 3D option. I will now have to import the Blu Ray 3D version from overseas where it has been released,annoying!!!!

What a quality film. Tom Hardy is superb in this film and has some amazing action scenes and special effects.Although you know Venom is not a real life character and is CGI, on my 4k version of the film they have done the CGI so well that you could believe that Venom was real.It's a very funny film in places too and has become one of my favourite films to date.
