SureTone Shoulder Rest-size 4/4 violin (STR44)

I didn't like the fact that it is not stable. It does tend to move a little. The bands fit over the corners of the violin ok but does not stay on the end pin as the tailpiece line takes up the groove. It is comfortable but I went back to my other shoulder rest for gigs. I use this one for practice at home.

I bought one about 4 years ago, and I can't believe I went so long using other shoulder rests. The great thing about the SureTone rest is that it's completely customize-able. Other rests are "one shape fits all - or tough if it doesn't fit all, because you can't change it". It comes with a few sponge-sized pads and a larger, oval-shaped pad, with velcro on them. If you don't get it quite the way you want it, you can always change it at any time. I'm not sure why it's not more popular, since it is so incredibly versatile and comfortable. I recommend SureTone for any violinist tired of their current, uncomfortable shoulder rest! = )

This product worked out great! I was able to customize it for the maximum comfort; and to my surprise, it did not dampen the tone like my other shoulder rests.I love the product -- yet the largest attachment piece definitely needs more aggressive Velcro (currently, it doesn't stick very well to other pieces.)

You will be very happy with the function of this item!
