Crash and Burned
I had high hopes for this program. I have used the Instant Immersion for German and Italian and love them both. This program crashed frequently on me. The words were not very clear so I was very unsure of what I was saying, or trying to. The basic words are said by both a male and female which is a something I like with the Immersion line that offers you to hear it in different tones and accent as we all speak a little differently. This does come with a pocket dictionary which is useful at least with the other programs. I know that Chinese and other Asian languages are very difficult so maybe someone will have better luck. If it didn't crash so much I might have tried a little longer.

It's ok
It's not really captivating. I probably need to give it more time, but some programs grab you and make it really enjoyable. This is ok, but not getting the "can't wait to do it again" feeling. Could be me, and why I'm giving it 4 stars. I mean, it's not a bad tool by any means. It's just not "super fun" to me.

i love Language
I love learning something new in language. Take your time and restudy until you get it and you will do just find. a It might even be better if you have someone learn will you or a place where you can use the words.Remember if you don't use a language you might lose it.

Absolute garbage. I've used Rosetta Stone, Pimsleur, and ChinesePod. DO NOT BUY THIS IF YOU ARE SERIOUS ABOUT STUDYING CHINESE!!

Waste of money, if you ask me.
Honestly, you're just as well off watching some movies in Chinese and getting a dictionary. It teaches you A LOT of useless vocabulary, doesn't teach grammar or sentence structure, and then when you go to the next stage, it gives you a ton of cheesy and mostly useless phrases. Honestly, the most useful thing in the whole thing is the pocket guide, and even it has a ton of holes. Truth be told, if your have a Nintendo DS, get a copy of "My Chinese Coach." I haven't finished even half of it and I've learned far more. And, huge perk, it teaches reading and writing, which this really doesn't. Shows you the character, but it doesn't do anything to help yo learn and retain it. I'd go elsewhere if you want to learn to actually talk and engage in daily interactions.

Un producto deficiente
Compré este producto para perfeccionar mi nivel de chino, pero los resultados fueron pésimos. En primer lugar su lista de verbos y palabras no contiene pinyin ni caracteres, lo cual la hace prácticamente inútil para cualquiera, incluso para aquellos de nivel muy básico. El disco que contiene para instalar el software no sirve, al instalarlo se queda a la mitad y no instala nada, lo trate de instalar tanto en una PC como en una MAC. Debido a que encontré este producto a un precio muy barato, no me convenía regresarlo ya que el envío me salía más caro. Es un producto que no recomiendaría, ni siquiera a aquellos que busquen aprender chino sólo por un viaje, les conviene más buscar videos en internet y aprender de ellos. Muy mala compra.
