4 Pair of Micrometers 1" to 6"...
Item arrived early in promised condition, good sale would buy from again. These Micrometers are pretty accurate out of the box, I tested them against the calibration standards at my workplace and each pair were only off by .0001" or .0002" tenths so I didn't see a pressing need to calibrate them with the included calibration wrench. The supplied calibration standards are accurate to about .0001" tenths. I opened and closed them through the full length of travel for each set, then I applied some light micrometer gauge oil on the threads and did it again a couple of times. They are smooth now and still as accurate. I had the quality dept. at my workplace validate them and put a calibration sticker on them, so now they used daily in production of brand name product. If these are still available for less than $100. Bucks BUY Them, its a good deal!

Decent set of calipers
Not extremely high-end, but does the job. I would buy again.

1 stars when delivered / 4 star eventually
When I got this set the ratting was 1 stars. Here is why:- thimble impossible to move using the ratchet- gritty threads- out of calibration- time lost getting them back in shapeIt took time for me to take them apart, wash them, blow them dry (compressed air), oil them, calibrate them. That is time I could have worked on my project rater than fixing tools. It is just too often these days that I buy a China made product that I have to first fix before I can use it. The ratting on these products should read as what they eventually become not what they are when you get them. So in the sea of cheap micrometers it's still good to know which ones are just junk and which ones are just shipped from the factory before they were actually ready. The factory skips the more time consuming and manual steps. It passes those into you and me. We save on upfront cost but pay on time and materials to get them in fully operating conditions.Eventually they turned out great and work and feel like a quality measuring device. This is why I gave 4 stars. Some pointers for others that may have to do this work:1. Do not trust the standards that come with the tools. What confidence can you have when the tools come that way. And indeed the 3" standard in my set is junk, faces are not parallel and the size is off.2. Get yourself a set of good standards or better get gauge blocks. I got myself a 36 pieces set online. They are grade 2 so I can use them to confidently calibrate the micrometers. Your micrometers are as good as your calibration tools! The proper way to calibrate them is to check at both ends of the scale and two points in between. For that the gauge block set comes handy.Do the calibration at room temperature (aka 20C) as that is how most measuring tools and standards are calibrated. That means letting the tools and standards stay in the house long enough. Don't do this in the garage unless it is summer.3. Oil is not enough. Make sure you wash them with a suitable solvent. Oil should be "measuring tools oil" or some other very light, non-drying, very slippery oil. I used Tri-Flow Superior Lubricant 2oz bottle with straw (available on Amazon.com). It is a very good bike cable oil. Don't forget to oil the lock level to.4. Adjust the threaded collar inside the thimble so it moves smooth and easy using the ratchet.5. Plenty of videos online how to calibrate the micrometers. But few mention how to use it when measuring: you turn the ratchet to tighten it up not the thimble. This way you apply the same clamping pressure for consistent readings! That also means you calibrate the micrometer that way.6. Tighten the screw for the lock level as it is easily coming undone.

I like them! Good quality vs. cost value.
I’ve used these numerous times across the past couple years. My application is nearly always for motorcycle engines.I’m glad I purchased them.

This set is a great value. They are accurate and repeatable to within 0.0001" out of the box. Over time I do not know how they will hold up. They are lighter than a Mitutoyo so, over time, they will probably not hold up as well. It would probably be a good idea to check against a standard before use but that is the case with any mic. If they no longer measure up, put them in the scrap bin and buy a new one.

Highly recommend, very surprised at the quality..
All easily brought to spec'd cal ability with a little pre-tuning. Smooth operating mechanisms. Surprisingly high quality for the price and checks against more expensive gauges in our lab show the included standards are well within specs!

Decent Value
This set is not the same quality as the Mitutoyo micrometers I used to own, but it is good enough for occasional use in a home shop. The engraved numbers and lines are shallow, and would eventually disappear if you used these tools everyday in a machine shop. In my set, 3 of the micrometers had a smooth action, but one had a few slightly rough spots during spindle travel. All of them are slightly miscalibrated, and need adjustment. But no instruction sheet was included with my set explaining the adjustment procedure.Addendum: I went directly to Anytime Tools website, looking for a PDF of the instruction sheet, and did not find it. But I did discover that this Micrometer Set is $24 cheaper if bought directly from them! It sells for $69 plus shipping.
