Awesome shoe but…
I love these shoes, but there’s one thing that drops them to 4 stars. They stink after wearing 4 times. Yes they got wet for most of the day each time but for this money they should have better anti-microbial protection.PROS: very good traction on every surface, specially I use them on the boat.Super light weight and comfortable fit. I can wear them all day long.Overall very good construction I see them lasting a long time.CONS: they stink! Not good at preventing odor which sucks because I was hoping to wear them more everyday even even when not on the water. I can forgive them for having some odor especially on the boat it’s not noticeable. Overall o recommend and would buy again but just know that they will stink if you use them in saltwater as I have.

Best casual shoes ever
I just received these shoes in blue which means I now have every color available in this style. They fit great, actually perfect and they look even better when you're wearing them. I have had more compliments when wearing these shoes than any other shoes i have ever owned. Men and women both have asked me what make they are. They were delivered safely and perfectly boxed so there was no danger of them being damaged. I love these shoes for any casual occasion and I can't rate them high enough.

Great minimalist shoes!
Like others have said before... just buy them! This review is long past due. If you like minimalist shoes without paying an arm and a leg like for Vivobarefoot (although they are quality). Other reviewers have taken off points because they make their feet hurt...well duh! these are minimalist shoes and have no super thick padding or arch support. So when you are new to walking more natural your feet will be sore, but will eventually get stronger from really using your foot muscles and soon foot, leg and even back pains while walking start to get better. Please look up all the info about the barefoot/minimalist movement and its benefits.Size is spot on. Ordered a size 10 and they fit just right. It has that nice wide toebox just like Vivobarefoot. The grip is other worldly. I thought they were exaggerating, but these shoes have to be tried to believe them. I use them for the city/urban areas and they just grip in such a nice way without getting stuck/tripping up, if you know what I mean.Oh and they are made of hemp. Look up all the great qualities of hemp for yourselves. You will be amazed. Hemp is many times stronger than steel. It keeps odor down. Also helps the environment by cleaning up toxins from the earth(even radiation) and is super sustainable.Ok so the only down side, which, isn't even so bad is the opening. It does not have a tongue. It just had an elastic type opening, which, frustrated me at first, but soon it loosens up or you could use a shoe horn.Tip* you want to grab the front part of the opening with one hand and the back, slide your foot in and gently bring up the back over your heel. Something like that. Also the quality is superb. You know when you open a new product and you can just tell its gonna be good. There are no loose threads, everything is clean, the cuts are precise...its just quality.PS the website fake spot has ratings for product reviews like this shoe on amazon. This shoes gets an A! (they rejected my first review of this product for referring that site...I wonder why?In summary try the shoe its a great quality, fits great, has a great grip and has a better price value than other more expensive minimalist brands.Enjoy!

Favorite Water Shoe
These shoes were a game changer for me. I'm on my second pair as, sadly, I left my first pair up at a back-country alpine lake. I had hiked 10 miles away before I realized it, but immediately bought another pair when I got home.I use these for summer fishing, swimming, tubing, etc. Basically anything where you will get wet and need your shoes to stay on. I hate sandals as I easily lose them in running rivers and they have little tread. These shoes have great tread when I'm wading through creeks and rivers in the PNW. They are comfortable enough for short hikes on their own, but I normally hike in my trail runners and carry these with me.Style is decent enough that you don't look like a complete weirdo in civilization which is a plus. Fit great!

The laces are unnecessary.
If, like me, you have feet that have the toes and heel the same distance from the ground, then you will want to remove the insole. The insole is shaped to touch parts of your foot that didn't evolve to be supporting any of your weight so it has to go. Once the insole is removed, the inside of the shoe is nicely flat, however some stray threads are just taped to the inside of the shoe, so you may want to get a flat insole, or just trim them off if they bother you (see photo). Although the shoe looks like a pair of those elastic water shoes with canvas sides added to provide a location for the eyelets, they are not actually elastic. Basically they are a mesh loafer with canvas around the back, along the sides and around the toe. There is not a separate tongue; where you expect the tongue, there is just more of the mesh, so the mesh basically forms a sock around your foot (except not under it). I have a high instep, so that non-stretchable tongue area makes it little tough to slip the shoe on. I can slide my foot in but not without pinning the back of the shoe under my heel. Then I have to work a little to pull the back of the shoe out from under my heel. The upside of this is that once I get it on properly, it stays on comfortably and there is no need for the laces. I leave the laces tied slightly loose however, so they don't look silly. It may sound like I don't like these shoes, but actually these are about the best I can find for a summertime shoe that I can wear to the office. They are nearly foot-shaped. Note in the photo, I am standing on the shoe and it only slightly narrower than my foot. That is way better than neatly all other shoes I have ever owned except for Lems, which are not suitable for summer.
