I bought these to use under my painting projects (watercolor and acrylic). These serve the purpose I bought them for: protecting my work surface from drips and spatters of paint. They are very thin and don't look or feel as though they'd be absorbent, so I don't know if they'd be helpful for a bigger spill, if I knocked over my paint water for instance, but that isn't what they were purchased for.

Got these for my gel nail hobby and they protect my workspace and control the mess of glitter and filing and make cleanup much easier. They were such a bargain and now I use them for lots of other crafting and home projects. Especially helpful with things that are sticky, wet, or oily so they they seep onto your surfaces.
