This is pretty fun to use for random or all-one-color beads. I mixed some seed beads with some tiny tube-type beads for variety, and it worked well. I had no trouble using the curved needle, following a customer's advice to face the curve away from center and slightly upward. The one I bought is wooden with a nice, smooth feel to it. Beware of one that looks similar, but is a "mini." I almost bought it by mistake.

The spinner was well made, nicely finished and spins smoothly. There was a curved beading needle included, taped to the inside of the box. I would lubricate the spindle, as it makes some noise while spinning. There are no instructions included, but there are instructions available on the Beadalon website. It isn't intuitive to use, but by just playing with it I was able to string size 8 beads onto a Lacis Beadle Needle. With practice, I think this will be a valuable tool for both knitting with beads and making beaded jewelry.

Item arrived loose in a bag. Spinner is so lightweight, it can’t be “spun” unless base is also held manually to a surface - requires both hands just to spin and hold it steady. This makes the tool useless, as there is no way to insert a bead needle into the bowl without a third hand…. Returning for a refund.

I had purchased this with some reluctance. I needed to load a lot of beads onto temporary thread and had tried another, similar product with very poor results. I'd watched several product demonstration videos and read numerous reviews - and the consensus was that either it worked after a few tries or it didn't. The first few attempts were futile but I realized that the problem wasn't the spinner itself, but the needle. The spinner comes with a Big Eye needle with a very tight "J" curve at one end, and that's the issue. The curve on the needle makes it impossible to hold at an angle where the beads will load on and stay loaded on. I experimented with the shape of the curve, gradually loosening it up until it was almost an "L". The trick is that the curve on the needle needs to match the curve on the bowl, and once that happens, beads jump on the needle like magic. In an hour, I was able to load up almost fifteen yards of thread with size 11 seed beads. You can purchase additional curved needles, but honestly, it's not necessary to spend the extra money for the curve - the Big Eye needles are two pieces of spring steel soldered together, and if you have a pair of nylon jaw pliers, pulling the needle through the pliers will create the curve. One of the issues I'd read on a review of the needles is that the Big Eye needles are too thick for size 15 seed beads. If you can find long (3-inch) size 11 English beading needles, you can - with a pair of flat-nose pliers and some gentle persuasion - put the curve in the tip of the needle and spin up your tiny beads to your heart's delight. The product does take practice, even once you get the right angle on the needle. I recommend working on a bead mat. It's inevitable that you'll hit the side of the bowl with the tip of the needle and send beads spraying out of the bowl. I actually wish this product had a plastic bowl. The oak is nice, but there is a heavy grain and it's not uncommon for the tip of the needle to get snagged.

This is the greatest thing ever! I was able to string about 30 feet of beads in under an hour! I use a LOT of seed beads, this significantly speeds up the process. The included needle was too flimsy for the size 6/0 & 8/0 beads I was using, but since I was putting them on wire (not string), I just bent the end of my wire into approximately the same shape as the needle and spun them right onto the wire. Worked like a charm! The trick is to place the tip of the hook right up next to the outer wall and facing against the direction of the spin. Keep the refilling the bowl, it doesn't string the beads as quickly when there aren't as many beads to catch.

Not sure how to rate this. The product itself is fine, and I would give it four or five stars. However, the way it was shipped deserves no stars. I've never had an issue with Amazon shipping before, so I was extremely shocked when my package arrived. See photos (although the damage looks worse in person). The spinner was shipped in a paper envelope with no bubble wrap or any kind of protection. It's no wonder the box was crushed, torn, and broken open by the time it got to me. It's a miracle the product wasn't damaged. It really should have been put in a shipping box and not just stuck in a paper envelope. As far as the spinner, I am very happy with it. It works as described. It does take a little bit of getting used to though. I found watching an instructional video on how to use it very helpful. I was surprised to see that it came with a needle because the ad said it didn't. That would have been valuable information to have ahead of time. They really need to correct that. I spent extra money I didn't have to (and can't really afford) ordering needles. The spinner is costly enough as it is. In conclusion, the product is good. It comes with a needle (making me feel a little bit better about the cost). But the shipping was the worst I've ever gotten from Amazon.

I love my bead spinner! It makes stringing beads so fast and easy! I was surprised at how fast I could make multiple strings of beads, even the tiny 12/0 beads! A 12 strand necklace, each strand about 28 inches long I got beaded in about an hour! Doing the same necklace by hand, before I got my bead spinner, would have taken a couple of days! Such a great time saver! The junior size is great for me, it works best when it's pretty full of beads. Even my boys think it's fun to use! My 13-year-old son even said its really cool!

Super easy to use once you get the hang of it and way faster than trying to get the beads on string or anything by hand. The needles are a little bit flimsy and you will go through a fair amount of them if you were using it a lot maybe my technique is what the problem is with that but it works so much faster so if you got a lot of beads to put on strings this is the way to go for sure it’s held up excellent I’ve had no mechanical or manufacturing issues at all it still spins just as well as it did in the first day solid product I recommended completely without hesitation😁

Il ferro lascia costantemente il nero sulle mani. Solo con perle dal foro molto ampio si riesce effettivamente a infilarle. Purtroppo non soddisfatta, mi aspettavo un utilizzo più semplice e veloce.
