As a Chilean this book is not that bad, I bought it as a gift for my Chef at work, but there were some recipes that are not even that typical Chilean like chicken with almonds or the red wine mousse, I would have loved to see the Curanto con chapalele, o Pan amasado, Hallullas, berlines, and many other things. I liked the very good quality pictures and the translation with the original name on top of every page. I liked how they tried to give it a nice plating on the recipes, but some recipes like the Pantrucas doesn't even look the way is suppose to look, its suppose to haveshredded carrot and eggs that you whisk at the end and you throw it in the last second and cooks in the broth, is DELICIOUS!!!. Pretty but is missing a bit of the real chilean heart.

Very well written and beautifully illustrated (dishes and scenes). Very interesting background (historical, cultural, culinary) information. Authentic recipes that range from excellent to average. Very good section on drinks. Definitely worth buying.Luisa Becker's book is full of recipes, some of which are superb. Excellent 'recetario' (recipe collection). Also worth acquiring.

Excellent recepies! you are going to love this book! I decided to buy this for my boyfriend's mum, she left Chile almost 22 years ago, so this was really special for her. Im so glad she could remember her old times with this wonderful flavors! thank u so much to the seller, the book arrived on time and in perfect conditions

Must buy!
I had the pleasure of taking a cooking class with the author, Boris Basso Benelli, and getting his book was just a "must have!" As a matter of fact, both my partner and I bought it to surprise the other!! Oops! It is all the recipes for the foods we loved on our visit to Chile and specifically Valparaiso, and then some. Boris has captured it all! Highly recommend!

Blend of traditional and new!
A nice blend of some traditional recipes and other new ones that have a Chilean feel. Really good to have a drinks section too.

Received this book recently and love, love it! The recipes are authentic and easy to make! The author also teaches cooking classes in Chile and we took one recently and it was fabulous! Great book if you want to learn a new cuisine!

My girlfriend and I met the author of the book a lovely gentleman called Boris from Santiago, Chile. and we love his book the recipes are amazing there are so many choices and the tastes are amazing thank you Boris.

Very good overall recipe book for genuine Chilean recipes..we've only made the humitas so far, they were very good
