Why spend that much money on a piece of PVC?
I have an inflatable Kayak and wanted to get a pump for primary inflation, also to possibly take along overnight trips. I really wanted to get a high quality pump that didn't look like one of those cheap barrel pumps you can pick up at Walmart; I was really hesitant spending as much money as this product is listed for, but went ahead and made the purchase anyways because of the good reviews it has. I got the pump in the mail and it was packaged all ready to go, there was nothing you needed to screw on or attach order to have it ready. Right of the bat I noticed how sturdy this thing is, it's made in the USA 100% Oregon to be exact, which is really cool because I was born and raised in Oregon. The PVC is very heavy but not too heavy that it would dissuade you from taking it on a trip; this thing just feels really well built. The pump and slide action is very smooth as expected, my only gripe is that I wish there was some sort of rubber bumper that would soften the blow as the handle slams all the way down. Despite the size I was able to inflate my Strike 2 Aire Kayak which is a tandem in less than 10 minutes, I had to switch pumping arms but it wasn't that difficult to use. The pump comes with a very nice carrying case to keep dirt and junk out of the pump while in transit, there is also a nice little accessories kit that comes with different nipple attachments, an extra O ring, and lube for the rod. I plan on having this pump for a very long time and should be taking it on some several day trips in the middle of nowhere, so we'll so how it holds up. Overall: Great high quality pump well worth the money, you really do get what you pay for, don't settle for some cheap barrel pump. If you want a nice compact pump to fill up an IK or a Small raft, or to top off and keep as an emergency pump for your Raft this is a no brainier buy.

Great, two stage, hand pump, for inflatable kayaks, dinghys, etc.
This is well thought out. The pump comes in different sizes. I chose the K-40 for the versatility, and love it. It is well made and works perfectly. It even has a spare rubber gasket stored inside it. It comes in a nylon carrying case with a few adaptors. A quick turn of the handle changes it from large volume pumping to small volume/higher pressure pumping to finish off getting the right pressure. Highly recommended. Very durable construction. Small enough to take along on an inflatable kayak in the stern, or you could buy one of the smaller models if space was more limited.

Love it!!
This thing is small, but mighty. So easy to use and perfect for quick top offs on and off the river. Wish we’d gotten one sooner!!

A really good pump
K-Pump makes really good products, but I especially like this one. It's actually two pumps in one. Twist the top knob and you have a low-pressure-high-volume pump for initially getting most of the needed air into a raft or cataraft (in my case). Twist the top knob again and you get a high-pressure-low-volume pump for topping off and getting needed final pressure into tubes. The pump works great, but needs annual maintenance (stretching o-rings, re-lubricating, etc.) to keep it working from season to season. Check the K-Pump site for great instructional videos and be sure to order some extra lube packs. I'm sure the pump has uses beyond bigger air boats (e.g., smaller air canoes), but probably overkill for smaller uses. Still, if you have the need, this is an excellent product and highly recommended.

Does a great job!
At first I thought I sure paid a lot for some pvc piping that has been glued together to make this pump, but when I put it into action, it has done a great job. Quick, portable and effective. I still think it is overpriced for what it probably really cost to make it, but it does a great job and quick to pump up my pontoon boat also

Awesome pump!
I have used this pump alone to inflate our 13 foot RMR. If you are really working you can inflate the entire raft in 25 minutes with one person. We use this more as a top off now, but before we had a trailer we would inflate the entire raft. I have used this for 2 full seasons with only basic maintenance (cleaning out the internal pieces and adding more lubricant) and it is doing great. The owners of the company a great and extremely helpful, I call them before purchasing and they honestly answered all of my questions. I would absolutely buy this pump again! It is small and easy to attach for day runs or when fully rigid it doesn't take up extra space for a multi-day trip.
