what is this made from

Can this be used to make flowers for cake decoration , i am not looking for printing.

In its normal state this edible wafer is too brittle to manipulate. You might try a little steam to soften it, but I am not optimistic it would work. Basically this is used as a base for meringues and macaroons which are extremely sticky and impossible to remove from the baking tray without the wafer or rice paper.

Could I bend this slightly for a sail on a ship?

It is very brittle. It may be worth steaming it, but very slightly or it may melt. On its own you wouldn’t be able to bend.

On reviewing the ingredients, there is no mention of any alcohol on the edible wafer paper.,
