The “Sprinkle a Little Earth Magic” Secret for Plants That Actually Thrive
Let’s get something straight—if you’re relying only on NPK, you're giving your plants fast food, not nutrition. Azomite brings back the trace minerals that most soils have been stripped of after years of overfarming, chlorinated watering, and chemical salt abuse. This stuff is loaded with over 70 trace minerals—we’re talking rare earth elements, calcium, magnesium, silica, iron, zinc… the whole spectrum. And plants LOVE it. You’ll see deeper greens, stronger stems, better yields, and healthier root systems. I even started using it in mycorrhizal tea brews for a nutrient-dense root drench. How I’ve Used It:Top dress in raised beds and container plants—worked beautifully with tomatoes and peppersMixed into worm bins and compost piles to boost microbial healthFoliar feeding (ultra diluted) for micro-dosing trace elementsSoil building for my daughter’s little garden boxes—we made it part of our seasonal recharge mixWhat I Like:Certified dealer product = consistent granule size, no mystery fillersFinely powdered so it integrates into soil easily, no clumpingLong-lasting—you’re not feeding weekly, you’re building a mineral basePlants show visible improvement within 1–2 weeks in healthy systemsWhat Could Be Better:Comes in a basic bag, so consider transferring to a sealed container if humidity is highDon’t overdo it—this isn’t Miracle-Gro, it’s more “slow burn nutrition” than instant fixMask up if you’re working with it dry—it’s dusty (volcanic ash, go figure)

AZomite Rock Dust Volcanic Ash Trace Minerals.
Azomite rock dust is made of volcanic ash which contains minerals in a very minute form. There is a misunderstanding, I believe, that this rock dust is or is not a fertilizer of plants. Obviously, without soil mechanisms it's just powedery rock. It is a soil amendment, to improve soil microbiota which actually do process the rock dust into minerals forms that can be used by plants. Many trace minerals that either were not in one's local soil, or it was scraped away ,and so forth, are made available by the microbiota because the rock dust has the "primoridial" forms that microbes eat. I decided to try it, as where I live there are basically 3 kinds of untreated soil, decomposed granite, caliche clay and a kind of gray hard soil under the brush clearance. I want to improve the soil here, not just grow herbs and veggies. To me, the magic of gardening is getting a poor, mistreated soil some long lasting nutrients, and getting it to pop with plants. I will order more Azomite in the future.Edited. A very important distinction is that soiless potting soils have no minerals as found in soil. I made up a potting material with coconut coir, compost, perlite and worm castings. When I added the Azomite, it instantly smelled as goog as soil after rain, the minerals. That did it for me. The finely powdered rock blended into the moist media and was "soil". I have plenty of native soil, but it is wild, hungry, water resistant, wrong pH, full of weeds and hard as concrete when it dries out in our new summers of 100Fplus degrees. It would take too much work and water to "improve" in order to grow vegetables in it. So, I'll be buying Azomite again. I get this small bag because it is perfect for the amount of potting medium I can easily blend with my arms.

Nice additive. A great addition with worm castings
Use carefully. It works best between the early vegetation stages to flowering, but not AT flowering or during germination. It's higher content of Ca and Mg raise ph, and contributes to the peak level as it activates over time. It is NOT an instantly utilized product, and requires microbial life to break the minerals down into usable materials.Good product, but be careful when mixing soils as this and dolomite can create a high Ca level, locking out K and creating other mimicked ph issues.I would avoid top feeding, and simply mix it in once as a partial substitute for the dolomite while mixing school, remember... ph and alkalinity are two entirely different measures.
