This book was an outstanding journey of a charismatic coach and his lessons about life through the people he met and his coaching experiences. The story will draw you in from the very start and includes numerous passages of inspiration and integrity. I bought the book as i fell in love with the movie, however the story in the movie is merely scratching the surface. Coach Bill Yoast's story is filled with adversity, overcoming obstacles, soul-searching and lessons learned from his mistakes.This book is a must read for any person looking for inspiration, looking to find themselves, looking to become a better person or just looking for a great story;Remember This Titan will have you pondering life and questioning human morality.

If you're looking for the differences between the film "Remember the Titans" and the real life story, this isn't it. It doesn't even really touch deeply upon the subject or go into depth about players other than Bertier. However, it's a good read into a good man and a great coach. Well worth it.

Great book. Came in perfect shape and I live the story it tells. You can learn a lot from it.

Coach Yoast was a great coach! He was my track and football coach at Hammond High School. A tall craggy looking man who could have been the model for the Lincoln Monument. He was quiet and soft spoken but when he talked you listened! Best coach I ever had!

A must read, especially for the young coach who wants his or her team to not only be successful, but understand the meaning of character, team work, and leadership. An easy read packed with life lessons and feel good moments!

I graduated from FC Hammond in June of 1971 before Alexandria changed the school system. Bill Yoast was Hammond's head football coach and having gone to school with some of the players involved in this now famous story, was interested in reading his side of the story. Enjoyed it.

This book is amazing, you see the ups and downs coach went through. I would definitely would recommend it for people who like the film, as I am the biggest fan of the film! you get to know the real side of Bill 👍
