Horseradish: Bitter Truths You Can't Avoid

Love it!
I became a fan of Lemony Snicket because of his "Unfortunate Events" serious. I haven't completed the series but I love it so far. I read a few quotes from "Horseradish: Bitter Truths You Can't Avoid" on GoodReads.com and instantly became a fan. I ordered the book, received it quickly and began reading the same night. It's short but wonderful. If you really do like Lemony Snicket's work, you'll like this book.

Sometimes Words Are Not Enough
I can't explain to you how good this book was. A page turner. Even more than a page turner. I couldn't get enough. 10/10

Amusing, if not short.
I enjoyed reading this. It felt a little repetitive, as I'd just read the entire SoUE series and there's definitely overlap. But I like it. I like Snicket. I like the dust sleeve. Can't complain overall.

Horseradish always make me laugh
I cannot count how many times I've read this book, but it always make me laugh. Short, sweet and contagious. I guess, I just enjoy Lemony Snicket's sense of humor. Recently, a good friend of mine was recuperating form a surgery and I bought this book for her to cheer her up. It seemed to work! Some quotes from Horseradish, however, might be better understood if a person has read The Series of Unfortunate Events first, but they are still OK even if this is the first Lemony's book ever.

Love it :)
People must be aware that this book contains snippets of the series (a series of unfortunate events), but it's brilliantly put together. It's exactly what I expected and I love it :)

Exquisite philosphy not only for children
This is a book filled with anecdotal philosophy extracted from Lemony Snicket's `Series of unfortunate events' chronicles (a must-read). It provides deep insight and practical advice on many things from bullying (page 39) to bereavement (page 111) and should be on the shelves of every school library and carried in the coat pocket of everyone. A truly remarkable read.

An entertaining little book of proverbs.
This book contains all of the wit that has become synonymous with the name "Lemony Snicket". I must warn you though, don't purchase this book if you're looking for a continuation of the "A Series of Unfortunate Events" series...this is merely a book of proverbs, divided up into several parts, each dealing with a different topic e.g. Family. The proverbs are witty, and in-keeping with Snicket's signature style. If you're a Snicket fan, go for it!

Wonderful!!
After borrowing this book from my friend, I decided that it was the sort of book you just have to own a copy of, to refer to every so often for guidance. I must say, for what was once a library book, this was in impeccable condition and showed little to no signs of being pre-loved (apart from the sellotape on the cover to prevent it from fraying, but I do that to my books anyway.)The book arrived on time and I've just finished re-reading it.Thank you :)

great book
I have always liked Lemony Snicket and think more children should be exposed to his work. This book is more for adults with childish thoughts - I loved it.
