This is a very versatile pen/marker. I wish they were made more available. Usually I see them in packs with other pens that I already have. So seeing it available by itself I had to get 2. I have one that I currently use when I illustrate and I love it. You can get a couple of different line widths from its chisel tip.

A Good Chisel-tip Pen, but Not Quite as Dark as I'd Like
This pen is pretty good! I needed a marker with a chisel tip that wasn't too wide, and this one fits that description well. It's really easy to use and so writes quite smoothly, which is appreciated. There is one thing that I wish this pen had, though - darker ink. It's really not quite black, especially when compared to calligraphy ink (I was having trouble using a feather quill before I got this pen, so I can see them on the same page together - in comparison, the writing from this pen almost looks like dark gray). That's to be somewhat expected, but I'd even venture to guess that it's not even as dark as black ink from ball point pens, some regular black markers, and so on. Other than that, though, I really like this pen!

I was trying to use it for pretty large areas of shading, and it couldn't produce a consistent full-size mark enough of the time. However, for calligraphy it's probably fine.

Unmatched versatility!
If you'd like to see what an amateur can accomplish in line weight and design with these remarkable pens watch a short music video I made in one day drawn entirely with the Prismacolor chisel tip pens. There's nothing as good as these pens at varying the weight of the lines in your drawings.

I mostly use this marker to color in spaces rather than for outlining. It works well though I sometimes have to do more than one layer to get the dark coverage I want.

Five Stars
SO much better than the 'we are memory keepers'! This one doesn't smear. I threw the other one away.
