## Description

Product Description Love iced coffee and cold brew but want less mess and more control? The OXO Cold Brew Coffee Maker makes it easy to brew smooth, low-acid cold coffee concentrate right at home. Ten ounces of coarsely ground coffee brews up to 32 oz of concentrate – for up to 14 coffee drinks. This cold brew maker includes a durable borosilicate glass carafe with measurement markings, so you know exactly how much concentrate you’re brewing and pouring. The rainmaker top evenly distributes water for balanced extraction, while the brew-release switch lets you control filtration with one touch. Simply add coarse ground coffee and cold water, then let the grounds steep for 12 to 24 hours. This coffee maker automatically stops filtering when the carafe is removed. Once brewed, dilute your cold brew concentrate with equal parts hot or cold water, or milk, to enjoy coffee your way. The reusable stainless steel mesh filter eliminates the need for paper filters, or they can be used for a second level of filtration. Plus, the entire cold brew coffee maker comes apart for easy hand washing, and the glass carafe is dishwasher safe. This cold brew pitcher system can also be used to brew tea, making it a versatile addition to any kitchen. Brand Story By OXO

Review: Great cold brew maker! - I had been buying cold brew concentrate for YEARS because I was convinced it would be hard to make it myself. Tragically Costco stopped carrying my cold brew of choice - out of desperation I figured I would try making my own. This maker was recommended by a friend (and I typically love OXO products) so I got it even though there were cheaper options out there. This things is AWESOME and makes great coffee. Had a little trial and error figuring out my preferred amounts of grounds/water, but nailed it by the third time. Super easy to use and clean - probably about 5 min worth of active effort to make enough concentrate for a whole week. Takes up a decent amount of counter space but that's kind of par for the course for cold brew makers it seems. Would definitely recommend!
Review: Cold brew is convenient, and this makes making cold brew easy - Making cold brew is a simple process--add cold water to some coffee grounds, let it sit for a while and filter it--so I was skeptical about paying for a product to make it easier. I was not crafty enough to set up my own system, though, and I love the smooth coffee cold brew produces so I decided to try this one out. It's a simple product, but works really well and gets a lot of small details right, such as: - The carafe is at a height that when you pull it out it automatically shuts the opening that lets the cold brew pour down. Such a simple little thing, but it made it feel like this was a well thought out product. - There are instructions for how to disassemble the system and put it together so it takes up less space in the cabinet. - I don't like any grit in my coffee so I use paper filters. They could have used the razor blade approach and charged a lot for the filters, but instead they sell them for a few bucks for a multi-year supply at the rate I use the coffee maker. (The cold brew maker comes with several paper filters to get you started as well.) OXO Good Grips Cold Brew Coffee Maker Replacement Paper Filters, Brown, 50 Per Box When I hear "cold brew" I always think of ice coffee, since it's got "cold" in the name. After reading through the instructions, though, I realized you could add hot water to the cold brew concentrate for a smooth cup of coffee as well. I am a fan of homemade pourover coffee for my hot coffee, but the cold brew seems to produce a cup of coffee that tastes almost as good to me, even with good beans (I've mostly used Blue Bottle so far). Pourover coffee can be a time-consuming experience, and though it's generally worth it I've become swayed by the convenience of spending a little bit up time up front for about two-weeks of convenient but delicious coffee. Although I like the carafe for getting the water and collecting the cold brew at the end, I didn't feel comfortable storing the cold brew concentrate in the fridge with it because the glass is pretty thin. I ended up buying the Bormioli Rocco Frigoverre Jug with Hermetic Lid, 17-Ounce to hold the concentrate in the fridge instead, and it works really well. When choosing which cold brew maker to buy, I was comparing this product to the Toddy, which is the cold brew maker I'd heard of for years. After reading through many desertcart reviews, it seemed like both would work fine. Since I've liked OXO products I've purchased in the past, I went with this one and was not disappointed.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is there a replacement available yet for if the carafe breaks? And by if I mean I broke my carafe...**
A: Instead of buying OXO's carafe, buy the Hario V60 Glass Coffee Server Pour Over Carafe Microwave Safe 1000mL. It is only $15, it is more durable than the glass carafe from Oxo, it has a handle, and so on. The Hario V60 1000ml fits precisely under the Oxo device. Few other contains fit---for instance, standard bell jars do not fit.

**Q: How much liquid should it yield? I used 20 oz. of water and 5.0 oz. of coffee grounds. I only ended up with approximately 10 oz. of coffee concentrate**
A: I use only 8 oz of coffee and 48 oz of water. But I prep it all after dinner and then let it sit for something closer to 40 hours, draining not the next morning but the morning after that. That gives it more time to extract, producing more of a concentrate. This produces at least 32 oz of concentrate, and usually more if the grind is extra coarse.

**Q: What is the average time to brew?**
A: I try to the 10 hour time. If I forget it and get it the next morning it seems a bit stronger. I just use a bit less of the concentrate and while it may not be as "smooth" it isn't terrible. I like the 10 hour brew.

**Q: Can I use Mountain Dew instead of water?**
A: No , Only Diet Mountain Dew.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Love it!
*by D***4 on July 12, 2026*

The cold brew maker is easy to use, makes a nice strong low acid concentrate and is a lot more economical then buying cold brew. It taste fresher also. It is also easy to clean. Be aware that you need to either have a coffee bean grinder or buy ground coffee to use in this maker. And buying the small round paper filters to add as an extra layer to the provided filter is also advisable.
