I installed two overhead racks last weekend. This 8 footer and a 4 footer from another well regarded company. This one was easily my favorite of the two. It's very well engineered and thought out, and it goes together easily and quickly once you have it right in your head. While two people would be faster, I did it as a one person job. If it's your first time installing one, spend some time with the detailed instructions, watch the video on their website, and get a handle on how your joists are situated in the areas where it will be installed. Once your have your head wrapped around it, you'll be fine. The measurements they give you are to the half inch. Don't freak out, but do the best you can and it will be just fine. There is some wiggle room where the frame attaches at the bottom.

I love these racks. I put up three of them in my garage. You do need to use some building skills (or at least common sense) about how to mount to joists, or wall studs. Good quality, and easy to follow instructions. I thought the price was good for the quality of the product.

Installed extra carefully finding centers of trusses behind drywall ceiling & driving all in by hand to ensure I could feel it on top of it being 95 degrees in the garage took just over 2 hours for the first rack. Celebrated with a few beers for rehydration purposes while scouring the internet for dog & cat videos, measured & marked off the next set of trusses with ongoing hydration, then called it a day. Next day found the markings were wrong, reset, drilled & mounted rack #2 in just over an hour. Lunch break, stuck with coffee & water for hydration, finished rack #3 in about 45 minutes.Pro tip, save the beer for the final completion party.

Was able to install by myself. Instructions are OK. Not a cheap storage.

I bought two 2x6 and one 2x8 racks. They are fantastic! Like everyone else says, the directions are lacking and the video is as well. But if you have any mechanical ability it is easy to figure out. The first one took more time than the other two I installed from the learning curve standpoint. The 2x8 was a challenge with stud placement but you can be off an inch and make them work just fine. No more stuff all over the garage floor!

I have two of these - I only mount them 24 inches from the ceiling so I can walk under them. We have a significant mouse problem in the summer and the open grate shelf makes it difficult for them to build nests (as opposed to building a plywood shelf). A touch expensive, and they take awhile to install and pay attention to which bolts go where and the positioning of the correct metal struts or you will have to install the shelves more than once.

Like: color, sturdiness, functional and showed up much earlier then expected.Wish was better: instructions could be better but we figured it out.
