Rio Beach Bum Folding Beach Chair

So much more comfortable than sling beach chairs. Good support, sturdy fabric, very comfortable. Slight problem with loud squeaking (bought them for lawn concerts) which was disturbing other music-goers. We investigated the problem, and the noise was coming from the riveted joints of the front cross member. A little lubrication, and voila! Problem solved. No more squeak. Would probably not be an issue on the beach. Plenty of room in the cell phone pocket and the cup holder is nice. Wide smooth arms are great.

Great for the beach not to high not to low. Could be lighter but not heavy. Love the color. Sturdy chair.

I like the design, construction and features. The design allows for a wide range of positions. It also sets high enough for ease of access but not too high for beach lounging. It is sturdy yet comfortable and light. The cup holder has elastic which stretches to hold a large cup. The side pocket has one velcro ( sunglasses ) pocket and a zippered pocket for small items like shells or jewelry. The armrests are wood with a hand hold for carrying. The shoulder strap could use a softer pad like micro-fiber over foam and not the rough stitching that scratches the sunburned shoulder.

This is the perfect beach chair for my husband. He's had hip replacements to both hips and was having trouble getting in and out of a regular beach chair. A friend with same issue bought another version of this chair. After trying hers, we ordered this one. Not only is it sturdy and easy to set up, it is lightweight. Carrying strap makes getting it to and from the car a cinch! He LOVES using it both at pool and the beach.

Heaven, I'm in heaven! I only ever buy Rio chairs at the "easy in and out" height. A regular height chair is too high and makes you want to cross your legs or have a stool for your feet. The really low chairs are quite frankly too hard to get in and out of. This is the best height, and although the two I have had for years are holding up really well, I wanted to have a set of back-up chairs. We have a vacation home on the water and spend our afternoons on the dock. These chairs are so comfortable (wide seat, wide arm rests, padded head rest, cell phone holder, kindle holder!) that I can sit out there for hours.

As my knees have aged I need more height in a beach chair. This one is a good height and has several convenient options - a handle, pocket, carrying strap. It did well on the inaugural beach trip.

The seating comfort is excellent, but the fabric is starting to sagg after one week at the beach. I wonder how long this will last. Second to sagging the handle is a hole in the arm rest and is uncomfortable sometimes. Other than the sagging the quality is good.

Fabulous chairs and have held up well after a lot of beach use this summer. The strap helps with transporting them. They are rather heavy, but I consider that a sign that they’ll actually hold up. Fabric is still really vibrant—no fading. 10/10 recommend these.
