PGN UCP205-16 Pillow Block Bearing
I purchased a two pack of these pillow block bearings for a flat sander project that I had just finish designing and I am now in the process of building. I am always amazed at these bearings and how well they work and how cost-effective they are I have mounted up my large 22" long contact Drum between two of these bearings and they run smooth as silk. The bearings seem to be very well built and are double sealed and should hold up well in this application I have used similar bearings from this company before and they have lasted a long time. I highly recommend these bearings and would use them again. Thank you

Solid, well built
Used as part of my attic lift. MUCH heaver than I needed but couldn't beat the price. I will never approach even 25% of their capacity. I like pillow bearings as they are 'self aligning' [don't have to have each bearing EXACTLY on the same axis] ONLY con, they were about .0015" UNDER size, had to lap the shaft a bit to get it to fit.Would recommend for anyone building a lift requiring bearing supports.

Better than expected quality.
Worked great for my application. Quality was the same as what would be supplied by an industrial supplier.

Really great quality for the price. Held up to some abuse when an axle got stuck.
I used these for a DIY pottery wheel, as part of a pulley gear reduction. We used a small section of aluminum rod for the axle, which worked great until I had to take the axle out to adjust the pulleys. Turned out I over-tightened the set screws, which deformed the aluminum enough to get it completely stuck. After much wacking with a hammer/wood block, I eventually just sanded down the deformed part of the axle enough to get it unstuck, but there was a lot of forces on these bearing blocks in all sorts of directions. Despite this, they still spin fine and remain just as quiet as before. Absolutely a good buy, and I'll keep this brand in mind next time I need something similar.

Great Bearing's, Fantastic Price $$
PGN - UCP206-20 Pillow Block Mounted Ball Bearing - 1-1/4" BoreReview edit 07/07/2021I have used several of these BRG's and have had on problems with miss alignment, I have read other reviews that state the brg,s are out of alignment, These are self aligning bearings if the are not able to self align I would check and see, That if it's not a manufacture problem on the bearing but on the final users design as far as the alignment goes, there's a lot of room for the final assembly to be corrected buy the bearings !Great Bearing's, Excellent price, I used these 1-1/4" bearings to attach 2 - 7 foot gates to the framing of my shop to keep my explorer dog from exploring. ( also keeps his furry friend's out !I used 1" ID. Black Iron pipe for the shafts, turned down to 1-1/4" OD, works great, but a little over kill on the bearing size so when I built the gate for the 12 foot door on the other side of the shop I used PGN - UCP205-16 Pillow Block Mounted Ball Bearing - 1" Bore with 3/4" ID. pipe Turned down to 1" OD.The gate sections are fence sections that I purchased from HFT many years ago work great for larger dog's, maybe not so good for smaller and pups..I have just reordered a additional set of the 1-1/4 in to make a 16X4ft automatic swing gate for my driveway. (Will write a review on how that turns out shortly !!)

Very nice upgrade for swamp/evaporative cooler.
The media could not be loaded. I got these a to replace the cheap pillow bearings that wear out every other year on my swamp/evaporative cooler. They were wide enough to fit on the rail in my mastercool (1.5" wide), and a drill bit away from having new bolt holes. It made the squirrel cage about 1/4" higher, but no issues with airflow from that. My cooler only spins at a max of 2100rpms which is far below the max these are rated at.All that I added were the M10 bolts and nylock nuts. I'll update this review over time and if anything changes. For my cooler upgrade application:Pros:- 2 grub set screws per bearing- Pre aligned bores- grease zerk with protective caps (will see how long those last)- Sealed pillow bearings on each side so the grease doesn't just fling out- Nicely machined 1" bore- Pre greasedCons:- No additional hardwareOther:- Because I was using these in a very different application, not surprised bolt holes didn't line up with old cheap swamp cooler pillow bearings. So this means you'll need to drill some holes in your rail to make it fit with proper bolts.
