Author needs to learn about punctuation.
I was not overly impressed with this book. The pros:-a list of quality handheld radios, their band(s) of operation, and average price-a guide to creating and implementing a communications plan-some creative ideas for protecting gearCons:-After saying that you should taylor fit your bag to your needs, the author then tells you only about his set up and bags that he owns rather than giving an idea of what other things are available*.-Author's use of punctuation other than at the end of sentences is nonexistent. My own use of punctuation isn't perfect and my review may get grammar nazied after this, but if you read this book you will see what I mean. For only $10 I can't really complain too much, and there were some things I learned that I wouldn't have thought of without this book. If you go into reading this knowing that the author is basically going to give a product review on the stuff he owns and nothing else, it will help a lot.*I fully understand the need to do your own research when purchasing an item. I was just hoping for a small list of quality bags on the market to go look at rather than a product review of the two the author owns.

Small Book with Lots of Information
Small book with good information on setting up your go bag. The author has lists with options. I followed through on it and built a go bag that works for me. Bought another copy and gave it as a gift to one of my friends in our ham group.

Good read - Good Info
It was a good read and had some good info, not the best I've read, but not the worst either. I guess if you were just starting out and were looking for a solid starting point, this would be your book.

Lots of good checklists and equipment sources
Informative without being too brand specific. Lots of good checklists and equipment sources.

Most of what's in the book could have been covered by a fairly short article, but there are a few things that are actually pretty helpful. It is also well written and easy to read.

Worth the Read.
Not really much new here unless you've never given this any thought. Nonetheless, well worth the read. Use what you like and consider the rest is always the best advice.

Very good read. Explained well. Easy to understand.
Very good information for a novice, starting out in comms. Basic, yet important, information that one can understand without getting bogged down in technical language. I appreciate how simple, yet informative this books is. Yes, if you are beginning in this area of your preps, this book is a good start down the road of comms.

Needs to be proof read
While this book does contain some good information, it is lacking in proof reading in a big way. Major turn off when reading and are paying more attention to the mistakes than the actual content.

Superb!
An indispensable guide for a niche and fascinating, possibly life-saving, hobby.
