The author starts with the basics and covers each step of this complicated topic with examples and easy to understand explanations. Then he goes on to describe much more complicated topics and investing strategies that are nothing short of brilliant. The lessons learned about Value Averaging will be applied to all my investment strategies, not just crypto!I've been researching crypto for years, and this is the best work I have found. Buy it. You won't be sorry!

I'd been investing in funds and shares for quite some time and when cryptocurrencies really started to come on to the scene in the latter half of last year I saw this space as a great way to diversify my portfolio, little did I know this was going to be far trickier than I anticpiated.It quickly dawned on me that there was more misinformation than information floating around and often found it difficult to tell the two apart. I slogged on none the less trying to navigate this tricky landscape managing to haphazardly put together a crypto portfolio.How I wish I had had this book when I had first started out! Besides the approachable explanations of the basics of the crypto world works (i.e. Blockchains, Dapps, tangles and the various coins available through/using them) I found the most valuable take-away being the Value Cost Averaging approach - I have basically completely changed my previous crypto investment strategy to be based on this, I won't go into detail on it but it takes the emotion out of your invesmtment strategy which is a key factor considering the volatility of this space creating a more stable environment for your portfolio to grow.I haven't really gone too much into the more advanced aspects of the book but once I've got these more basic elements in place I certainly will be.I highly recommend this book to anyone looking to learn more about the world of cryptocurrencies and how to go about investing in them.

I purchased a copy of The Crypto Portfolio on the recommendation of a friend. After seeing the prices of cryptocurrencies skyrocket in 2017 I became very interested in them as potential investments, and spent a lot of time researching cryptocurrencies online but found a lot of scattered information. This book puts everything place and is by far the most comprehensive yet simplistic guide to cryptocurrency investing I have come across.What I liked most about this book is in the way Hobbs explains very complex topics in super simple language, both on the investment side and the tech side. As a result I think I finally understand cryptocurrency and Blockchain, and I feel I now have a sensible strategy to invest in cryptos without taking unneeded risks.The book covers all the basics of Blockchain and cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple, Litecoin, Monero, Iota and then some in an approachable and engaging writing style. It then moves on to explain several investment strategies in a similar fashion. The book is very well structured with easy to follow examples and I especially like the summaries included after each chapter. Overall it should be easy to understand for beginners to crypto but also comprehensive enough (around 250 pages!) to offer seasoned crypto investors some excellent risk management insights. If you’re looking to seriously invest in crypto, or even just curious about the tech, this book is a the place to start!

I bought this book with the intention of learning about approaches to Crypto investing and it did not disappoint. As well as providing a good solid foundation around blockchain, Hobbs describes the different investment strategies in a clear and progressive manner.One key takeaway for me, as someone who knows very little about investment, is appreciating that there is a good middle ground between buying and holding assets for long periods, and almost full time day trading.Well researched, well written and the perfect companion for anyone wanting to delve into the world of cryto-investing.

Saw this for free and thought I'd have a look. I've been investing in crypto for a while and having read Jonathan Hobbs book I was pleased to find I'd been investing in some of the right coins. However, what I hadn't been doing was investing in the right way and looking back I can see where I've lost money needlessly. I'll now be following his guidelines and in particular the VCA system. Well worth a read whether you're new to the crypto world or not.

Wish I had read this before investing in cryptocurreny. Luckily I didn't lose to much but I did learn that I didn't know what I was doing. I am about to implement the advice given in this book as it makes sense to me now and whoever reads this should benefit from it. Highly recommended
