It really works, incredibly impressed
I am 35 years old. For my entire life, or as far back as I can remember, I have always had brittle fragile nails that cracked and broke anytime they got as far as the whites of the nail starting to show on the tips. For many years I had false nails due to my frustration with unable to grow a decent set myselfI tried plenty of cuticle oils and nothing ever seem to help. This was my last try with a product, I spent a while researching and this seemed the best bet. I ordered my first bottle on March 22nd and ever since then I have applied it daily. About every 5 days or so I would remove everything and start freshIt is now July 4th and ever since I applied the polish my nails have been steadily growing since then and have not broken. I find an absolutely amazing that I have not cracked or broken a single one, and I'm someone who uses their hands a lot.It makes your nails strong and thick but not so strong that they lose their flexibility, if your nails are rock hard they will crack because they cannot take any knocking around. Once in a blue moon I will notice a tiny little ding or chip the size of a grain of salt, but besides that my nails seem indestructibleI admit I rarely use the cutic oil this came with because I'm not a fan of the smell and the greasiness so all of this progress is definitely due to the Polish. Just apply it religiously every day and you will see results, it took me a good 3 months to begin seeing a difference. One bottle lasted me a little over 3 months. I did not wear any other nail polish during this time, I only ever had this on my nailsThe only downside is it does not stay good on your nails at all, especially with the fresh layer it chips off very easily and will peel off after a shower, since he reapply everyday it's not that big of a deal and hasn't affected the product from working but it's a little frustrating. I have tried buffing my nails beforehand and always dehydrating them with acetone but it makes no difference. However this is a small price to pay because it works and lives up to its claims! I will be using this product for the rest of my life. I'm at the point now where I feel like I can paint my nails, if I use this as a base coat and a top coat it should continue helping but allow me to finally decorate my new set of nails!(I am off to go knock on wood now, talking about being surprised my nails haven't broken I bet you I will get my first broken one today 😂)

best out of 6 products
I’ve tried 6 different products with varying results. This one is by far the leader. However …Here is what my dermatologist told me (in layman’s terms): Hair and nails are dead cells and you cannot actually repair a cell that is dead. But you can make it look better. Get it? The existing nail you have cannot be fixed, but what grows out tomorrow can be better – if you nourish it. ‘There is no quick fix’, she repeatedly stated. It’s going to take a few months for the crappy nail to grow out/off. Remember years ago when you had that awful perm? It made your hair dry, brittle and was a nightmare. All you could do was manage it, let it grow out and then cut it off. Nails, she said, are the same. Plus, if you had thin nails to begin with (probably why you started using acrylics, like me), your nails are going to be thin afterwards too. Its genetics. This product does not make your nails grow. But it helps keep the layers stuck together so they don’t split and break while growing out. The product, over time and with daily reapplied layers, is strong and hard. And therefore gives the illusion that your nails are strong and hard. But they’re not. It’s the product on top. Just like acrylics.Other products I tried: Sally Hansen, Deborah Libbman, Nail-Aid, OPI & Essie.• Pros: Sally Hansen & Nail-Aid are inexpensive. Deb Libbman does not use harmful chemicals.• Cons: Sally Hansen, Essie & OPI products peeled off quickly. Deb Libbman’s product was a little more money compared to the others.Rejuvacote: moderately priced. And, admittedly, does chip off at the tips - but they all did. It chips off because our nails are thin/weak, bend and then crack the paint. (My hands are intermittently in water daily – and that augments the chipping.) However, Rejuvacote chipped off the least. I reapplied it daily. You’ll need to in order to cover up the little chips on the edges/tips. (The instructions tell you to do this anyway.) It didn’t peel off. It didn’t ‘yellow’ my nails. It didn’t have bubbles in it when applied. And, I loved the high gloss shine.I liked this Rejuvacote so well, I sent it to my sister and a friend.PS – in attempt to nourish my nails from the inside out, I’m now taking a biotin & collagen supplement. I apply moisturizing products (olive or grape-seed oil, Shea butter or various brands of nail oils) to my nail beds/cuticles multiple times per day.Combined, it’s all helping and I’m looking forward to better nails in a few months.

YES to both Rejuvacote products
I have used Duri’s Rejuvacote 1 and 2 for about 21 years now. I loved 1’s formula, but I started using 2 when it became available to avoid some of the chemicals that make 1 so great. I manicure my own nails every week, so I wanted to lessen my exposure to such harsh chemicals if at all possible. 2’s formula is almost just as good as 1’s, but not quite although it’s still what I use for health concerns.I decided to buy the cuticle oil this time to try it out and I while at first I wasn’t impressed by the oil, I have come to really like it. The odor is very, very earthy and I’m not crazy about how it smells, but it does a good job of keeping my cuticles hydrated.Final verdict: the Duri Rejuvacote formulas 1 & 2 are both really worth the price you’ll pay. Both work perfectly as a base coat and a top coat, will strengthen your nails and can be reapplied between polishes to maintain a beautiful shine without getting too think on the nail surface. Will continue buying this product as I have for many years. The cuticle oil takes some getting used to (strong scent and little herbs/plants IN the bottle), but I have come to really like it after giving it a chance for a few months.
