KREGACS415 Adaptive Cutting System Parallel Guides

Work great for the price point.
First off, I used these with Makita tracks and track saw. The Makita and Kreg tracks are similar enough in width that I was able to dial them in with the available adjustment range. YMMV.I bought these to compare to another brands (fast is in the name) that already have. First off, there are several high end systems that are likely easier to use with better, easily repeatable accurate cuts. But for the money they work really well. I like that they each use two points to mount to the rail keeping them 90 degrees to it. This increases the accuracy as they can't cock to one side or another. The ones I compared them to would.Anyway I recommend them for a budget setup (or on the truck set like I use them for)

Fits festool track
They fit festool track perfectly, very efficient way to rip sheets

perfect add on
these work great with the kreg system and are very accurate.

Not robust enough
It is plastic and they actually have a screw that the mfg states to loosen and adjust to zero them out.

The indicators and locks insufficient
The indicators are not fine enough for precision work and the locks are not strong enough to keep the tape from moving as you try to position the track for your cut.

This product is a joke!
Ok ok now what the heck are we doing here?!?! With this one product, Kreg has dropped from a position among a very few companies that provide high end quality tools, to a pocket screw company faking it till they make it- or don’t. The word precision has no place here.I spent $99.00 for what I thought were CLAMPS, that would allow me to set up my track with great precision. These are not clamps nor are they guides as in providing guidance for the track. They are nothing more than two plastic tape measures that connect to your track! For $99.00????? How embarrassing for Kreg. I couldPick up two 99 cent tape measures and glue them to my track and have all the value. The ends are not locked down. It does nothing more than give you a physical reference of the end of the tape hanging over the edge! That’s it! And this gives me a durable working framework! No. It lets me measure which I can do with countless devices today. I could mount laser range finders, gps, and do it within the $99.00. But no, Kreg things it’s reasonable to charge that kind of money for two tape measures. Shame on you. You’ve just shown that you aren’t in the league of Woodpexker, Festool, Makita. There’s too much plastic in all your products and not the best. It’s a shame to see this. But then you also developed your t track so it won’t work with anyone else’s... here I thought we were gonna be pals.....

Ok but expensive
As others mention, these are not robust. They are nothing more than a mounted tape measure.Once setup they work reasonably well. I laid my measurement out before trying the parallel guides and once dialed in they were accurate. It did take a while to dial in so be prepared.Overall if you don’t need these, skip them. I do like the ACS system, but the parallel guides are not worth it.

Good alternative BUT...
Good alternative method to keep the track parallel to the edge. Only lost 1 star due to all plastic build and concern in longetivity of the actual tape measure mechanism. Would still recommend them
