Good read

I've tried 6 or more woodworking magazines and this one is the most complete. You have a materials list, detailed plans, full access to all their projects and plans (past and present), and tons of free tips that are Huge time savers as well as safety tips. They often go over wood choices and other variations you might find more appealing or useful to your specific application.The only negative thing I have to say involves some of their dvds. They have a tendency to assume too much sometimes. But I am a novice.

This is by far my favorite woodworking publication. I subscribe to all of the woodworking magazines, but this is the one I really look forward to. The projects are more my style, and I like that they include a nice mix of projects, from small useful items, to well designed furniture. There are no ads, and the writing is neat and easy to understand. It is also printed on heavy paper, and the drawings are easy to follow. The three hole punched spline is a nice touch, too.

Love the magazine for the varied content and new ideas, as well as patterns, cut lists, jigs, etc. Look forward to each issue.

It also has tips and tricks to aid you with your project from the magazine or on your own projects.
