works great for my phone when I teach cycle classes
I use this octopus for holding my cell phone when I teach cycle classes. I need access to my music & class plan. This is much better than other make-shift options I'd rigged up. It takes some trial & error, but I can successfully get it secured around three different indoor bikes I teach on. I've had some issues with accidentally pressing the release button a few times & my phone will start to fall off. I've caught it so no harm done, but that darn release button is too big or too easy to press by mistake. I've used this with an iPhone 5 & iPhone 6, both with larger cases on them & had no issues with the adjustable clip securing them. One of my cycling studios is actually buying some to keep there on the instructor bikes since other instructors were admiring mine... and I keep forgetting to remove mine & bring it home with me!

There is a problem with the mount as it sometimes ...
There is a problem with the mount as it sometimes unclicks when you try to angle I-phone to take a picture. Happens enough to be frustrating.

Well designed product with many uses, great for any phone. Stable when it's sitting, grips the phone well without being in the way of the screen at all. The quick release thingee is handy, lets you break it down for easier storage. You can mount it anywhere with the flexible legs. Very useful for any photo or video use, especially time-lapse and stop-motion (where has this thing been all my life?). Been shooting alot of 4K videos since getting a new phone, 4K is maybe best shot on a tripod as a still mount usually is best for showing the razor-sharp detail, this tripod is a huge improvement over the cheap one I've been using. Looks cool too, also use it just as a phone stand sometimes.
