Pit Posse Chain Cutter Breaker Breaking Tool

The chain breaker isn't bad for the money, it isn't great either. It does exactly what it is designed to do. I recommend that before you attempt to use this tool on a heavy duty chain that you grind down pins with a Dremel or similar tool.

This product is well made, functions as described, fits or otherwise conforms to it's intended purpose, there were NO negative issues at all. Used it to press the pins out and shorten three different 530 motorcycle chains....worked well, solid quality.

Works great. I read a few reviews that said it broke after 1 use but I used it to break a #520 chain and had no problems.

so i have a 530 bike chain that i needed to replace on my cb500 and started looking for a way to break it free seeing as how it didnt have a master lock. i see this tool which is half the price of other brands and saw it worked for a few ppl so thought id give it a shot. IT DID NOT SURVIVE ONE USE. it literally went halfway through a pin before it completely fell apart on me. i ended up just cutting through it in seconds with a dremel out of frustration. spend the extra money on a heavy duty one that is meant to work on real bike chains.

Used to try to break stock chain on KLR650. Started tightening it up and the threaded block the center pin travels in cracked right in half. Fun! I ended up breaking the chain using a dremel to create two starter grooves and then finished it off with a sawzall.
