Cake Mix Cookies: More Than 175 Delectable Cookie Recipes That Begin With a Box of Cake Mix

This book was written back in the good ol days when cake mixes came in 18oz boxes. Shrinkflation in 2022 we now can only purchase 15oz cake mix boxes. As all bakers know, baking is a science and these recipes will not work as the author has written them.

My husband really likes cake mix cookies. These are easy to bake so a win win.

I love this book. It's very easy to follow and not intimidating. I would think the recipes are so easy and simple, that they are also kid friendly, but don't take my word for it since I don't have kids, nor work with them. I love the tips in the beginning chapter, where they tell you all these tips about making cookies and keeping them fresh, that some people, like me, who grew up eating pre-made cookies wouldn't know. The book also explains the differences between ingredients and how to prep them. If you know anybody, who's interested in learning to bake or would like to bake (including yourself), but don't have the time to make things from scratch, this is a great gift.I would have love this book when I was in college cause I really wanted to learn to bake but I didn't have the time, nor energy, or money to pay for cooking/baking class, so everything I made was out of the box. I discovered that it was a great way to work off some the stress from studying and the smell of baked goods was also a stress relief, which my roommates also enjoyed. I really have enjoyed using this book cause I still don't have the time nor the energy to make things from scratch. Don't get me wrong, I know that nothing compares to something made from scratch but for me personally due to my current life style, that's what a bakery is for. I still am at awe anybody who makes things from scratch.

It has good recipes but is lacking in some of my favorite cookies

This book is awesome. I recently purchased it for my Mom for Mother's Day, but received one for myself as a Christmas present last year. It's filled with amazing yet simple recipes that are incredibly delicious. I can usually whip one of these recipes up in a matter of minutes and my family raves about how wonderful they are. I've not made anything out of this cookbook yet that hasn't been gobbled up within days of making it. It's great when you need to make something for a school function or family get together. Everyone always asks for the recipes and I tell them where I got the book. It's well worth the money and then some. It's by far the best cookbook that I own. Also, the one that I ordered for my Mom arrived quickly, in time for Mother's Day, way ahead of the projected delivery date. It's an absolutely great gift for yourself or anyone that loves to cook.

Love love love this book. The recipes are and instructions very easy to follow. All the taste of homeade scratch without the fuss or mess!

I am grateful for the opportunity to be able to bake , with all readied ingredients, such as cake mixes. Without this edge my all but sympathetic baking skills would indeed take a extreme turn for the worst. For this book and books like it , baker’s like me that truly “suck” will be eternally in debt. This is a great cook book. I purchased my FIRST copy a couple of years ago and have used it to make cookies ever since. I have purchased two additional copies since them - used one in a basket with four cake mixes, four packages of chips, a package of nuts, and a package of Parchment Paper for a silent auction for the church where I work and will give the second one as a gift this week. There is a huge variety of cookies to chose from, the ingredients are not expensive or difficult to find and everyone likes the cookies I make. What more could I ask?
