I tried these after I could no longer get Source Naturals kava tablets, and it seems like much the same stuff, the same flavor and the same mouth numbing and the same lovely relaxation. And it's absolutely dirt cheap compared to the kava in capsules.

I've been using kava for 13 years and oh boy do we have a lot to break down on this one. I got the "500mg" as advertised, the fact that I'm seeing reviews claiming they got 120's is a red flag in itself. The ingredients list says "kava kava root 500mg" and you'd think "oh 500mg is strong for kava," not really, 500mg is a lot for kavalactones. This isn't an extract, it's literally 500mg of plant matter compacted into a pill with a binding agent that makes it easier to swallow. I started with one sublingually because I was curious if that would work, these do not work sublingually - like at all. I tried taking 2, then 4, then 8. This is nowhere near a strain that's made for muscle relaxation and absolutely not for pain relief. There are so many better kava products out there for muscle relaxation and pain relief. Heck buy pretty much any other kava and you're likely to get a better product. At 8 pills it's kind of somewhat useful for countering jitters with caffeine. There's no noticeable mental effect, no noticeable body effect, if chamomile doesn't put you to sleep this absolutely won't. You're essentially swallowing whole plant matter which is a lot harder on your liver, at that point just buy a strong strain and suspension solution swallow it if you're willing to take this, it's not any more harm than this product. At least you'll get pain relief and relaxation. I saw the red flags before I purchased it, but it's a kava product I haven't tried and gosh dang it would it have been life changing if it wasn't false advertising. Keep in mind they legally can claim everything that's advertised here (besides giving people 120's when they ordered 500's, that's very clearly misleading people) and if that doesn't show a problem with the supplement industry I don't know what does. Conclusion: I know this product is tempting, I know how life changing it would be to get kava extract at this strength for this price, but this isn't kava extract, it's literally plant matter compressed into a pill, and really weak kava at that. I'd gladly pay 6x as much per pill for 90 300mg kavalactone pills, because that's honestly a better deal than this.

Since I prefer this better, I am listing the reasons below why I am happy with this brand:1 For occasional anxiety, in the daytime, I just take one of these. According to the dosage directions, one pill is a full dose.This works for me in about 15 to 20 minutes, I really relax without feeling sleepy or out of it.2 The box states that this has 500 mg. I have no way of verifying that except to say that my old brand was in a capsule that had 350 mg per capsule. I had to take two of them to work (one did not work well). So I just take one of these and it works for me. And it works quickly.3 The price is reasonable in my opinion.4 These also work for me when I pull a muscle.5 Well I am very pleased with this Kava Kava and will order them again.Well, I hope this review has helped you. ... I was surprised to find that it actually works! It's not as dramatic an effect as a prescription muscle relaxant, but I can definitely feel a difference. The original doesn't have an overpowering scent, but I've decided to take it a step further and go dye- and fragrance-free with these new detergent pods. My skin likes it!Toss one in before putting your laundry in and it completely dissolves during the wash. Pretty cool. Nothing to pick up after running a wash, and my clothes came out fresh and clean. My clothes almost never get stained badly, so I'm not sure how effective a single pod would be, but I imagine tossing in two of them would do the trick.Lastly, the pod is great for detergent conservation. You don't have
