Its MDF not Cardboard
The buildings are NOT Cardboard. They are laser cut MDF. Yes the come unpainted, you have to paint them yourself. All tabletop gamers I know prefer unpainted over painted items.

Solid construction, easy assembly
Arrived as expected, needed to look up the instructions(they're available for free on FLG's website.) But it fit together easily and was a delight to put together.

Disappointing
They are cardboard with no instructions and was late two times in a row. Not understanding why it cost so much for I assembled cardboard
