Both are thin, stretchy fabric. Basically what I expected, though a little harder to keep on my face than I would've liked. It stays in place better if I stretch it up over my ears.The reason I'm giving 2 stars is because of the obnoxious, glaring advertisements for Zanheadgear printed lengthwise on opposite sides of the Houndstooth tube. (The Purple Paisley doesn't appear to have this.) The logos are placed in such a way that it's impossible to wear the tube as a face cover without them being visible. I would have found a different product to buy if I'd known about this.However, the product photo only shows one instance of the company logo printed widthwise at the very bottom, in a place where you can hide it if you choose, which would have been okay with me. I made my purchase under the impression that the photo would actually reflect the item being sold and not a visibly different version of it. Please update your photos so they accurately reflect what you're selling.I'm not going to go through the trouble of returning this in the middle of Coronageddon. It'll have to do for now. But I'm not happy about this and won't be buying anything else from this brand. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Get Protected, Look Hard:: The Most Vain & Honest Biker Review *by A***D on Reviewed in the United States on July 22, 2014* **MOTORCYCLE RIDERS** Should Read This....I have purchased multiple "Half Masks" as I like to call em' and this by far is the most comfortable, easy to use, manage, maintain and wash! I am a "Bobber" type rider and not only does this provide a really cool look, it really helps keep your face right! Easier to breath when riding, no bugs and all with a great look.I have not gone for any "Long Distance Rides" or rides where I'm cruisin at a steady 70mph on the fwy, but for around town its great to wear and very comfortable. I wear mine over the nose, with a Bell Half Helmet and sunglass. The best way to wear this, that I have found, is to put the full sock on over your head before you put your helmet on.(I put the sock on, & pull it down to where just the top of my head is now un-covered from the sock. Then I pull the front portion down under my nose, toss on the helmet, and when I pull the helmet down and tight, the back of the sock sorta stays tucked in the bucket, helping to keep it on)This is also awesome for when its a bit chilly. Not only is it functional to help keep you warm and keep the bugs off your face, but when you pull your bucket off you've got a half scarf on, that looks awesome. I get nothing but compliments and It really looks bad ass when worn right. It will take a few rides to get used to, but you'll get it. And, I know I shouldn't say this, but I don't mind that I look pretty hard when I ride when this thing on.Oh and unlike other masks I've purchased, when I get to a light, I just pull the mask down under my nose to keep my glasses from fogging up. Then when I get back on it, i just pull that little piece back over my big ass nose and I'm protected and stylin' once more. This is about as straight forward an answer as I can give.{{Washing}} Just handwash the thing. I'm a man who. I don't like laundry! But I hand wash this little baby cuz she deserves it and its much easier. **Does seem to Color bleed black a little so be careful if you toss in with other laundry! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Its a keeper. *by F***O on Reviewed in the United States on July 7, 2015* This is a decent product.First of all, it IS very thin, so if you plan on using in very cold conditions, you might want to reconsider.I live in Phoenix, so cold weather is the least of my worries. I wore it for the first time today, on my 48 min ride into work.It held up pretty good. It stayed on my face for the most part, even when i turned my head alot when changing lanes.Make sure that the back part is pulled up on the back of your head, or else you will find yourslef constantly pulling the material back up over your nose; as it keeps slipping down.
