As with so many others,it is difficult to find that very product that not only meets the needs for which it is intended but is also suitable for those intending to use it. This vacuum by Bosch fills the needs on all counts! It is lightweight, easy to handle with a vacuum strength suitable for most uses. Its battery run time is very good, quick and easy to charge- in fact it is a good buyThere is one area of design that perhaps could be looked at by Bosch,and that is the freestanding element of the unit when in use,charging or storing. To simply rely on leaning the unit forward is reliant upon ensuring the handle is exactly in the middle before releasing- if not then even the slightest deviation from the middle position is followed by the handle tipping sideways and falling to the floor with the possibility of the plastic casing being damaged. This type of design fault is not something I would normally associate with Bosch- a company usually so ahead in designing excellent and robust products. Despite that it is a product that I would have no hesitation in buying again.

Light and easy to use, but I have trouble with using the removable hand held part for stairs ex, as it's to stiff for my week hands, and the powers was disappointing, not like my old Bosch cordless, its 6 year old and still more powerfully. Ideal as a quick tidy up , but I am disappointed.

I have a Henry vacuum and bought this as an extra but poor old Henry hasn’t seen the light of day since I bought it. I’d already cleaned when it arrived but I had to give it a try and It picked up loads that Henry had missed. It’s very lightweight but feels sturdy, very easy to use with 2 suction powers easily selected by the thumb switch. The claimed 50min run time is a bit misleading though - this is for the hand held unit on its own, not for the upright vac with powered brush. That lasts about 15mins but to be honest as long as I don’t want to clean the whole house in one go it’s more than enough. Recharge time is about 7 to 8 hrs when completely run down but much faster for a top up. The dust container is quite small and I end up emptying it every time I use it. If you’re considering the Athlet as an alternative note that there isn’t a handheld option. All in all I highly recommend the Flexxo, bit weird but I actually enjoy vacuuming now I’m free from the weight and cord of Henry, RIP!

Not enough power...

Having had a couple of cordless cleaners before I find this one to be by far the best. First of all it conforms to all of the published performance specification, with good instructions from the manufacturer. It has a powerful 2-stage suction power. It was easy to assemble and includes some conveniently hidden away extra cleaning tools such as upholstery brush and extender arm.. The ability to use as a handheld vacuum brush is particularly useful. Good overall design from an engineering point of view,---easy to dismantle to clean roller brush and empty filter cartridge. I suggest that this is done after every 2 or 3 operations'. Battery life is good and more than enough to vacuum a fully carpeted 4 bed house in one go lasting 45 mins

So, I've had this Hoover now for about 2-3 years so I know what I'm talking about. The hoover is quite lightweight so it's easy to carry from room to room. I live in a flat so I don't have to worry about stairs.The Hoover comes with different parts that you can use to clean. My best part of the Hoover is the long nose cleaning part. This is the one I use the most as I don't use the full Hoover to clean. In my personal opinion, the suction is not that great when you use the bottom part of the Hoover. I use the long nose suction part that comes with the Hoover to clean my whole flat. In terms of battery life I would say you can get a good 1 hour clean on low power. This is what I always use as I don't use the high power so I don't know how much cleaning you will have on that. It does take apparently about 5 hours to charge fully. So if if you clean often, it may be best to do it in sections rather than all in one go. I hope this helps someone who is considering getting a Hoover. I went for the name but in reality it's not the best Hoover out there.

The item arrived quickly and although the description said as it is refurbished it could have scratches or marks on it the item came just like new, no marks or scratches. It was like buying a new machine at a superb price. Will definitely use the seller again.

I bought this vacuum cleaner because I needed something light which wouldn’t cause pain in my arthritic hands, and because I wanted cordless to avoid the danger of trips. I tried out other cordless vacuums in stores, but most have the collection bin on the handle which made them hard for me to move them about.Pros - it is very light and flexible, has two strengths of suction which I find very good and it moves easily from hard floor to carpet. It can do a lot on a full charge, more than enough for my medium sized house. The hand held section detaches easily and has the full range of tools.Cons - collection bin really needs emptied after every use, but it’s easy to do. Hair does wrap around the brush roll, but again it’s easy to remove and clean.I’m happy to put up with the cons to have a machine that’s so easy to use all over the house and doesn’t leave my hands and arms aching.
