Dowelmax 3/8 x 1-1/2 x 100 Dowel Pins

I had struggled with dowel pins purchased at Woodcraft and Home Depot (same manufacturer) because of very inconsistent diameters. About 20% of those rattled around in the bore and others had to be filed down to fit properly. These pins from DowelMax are consistently the right size. They fit snug with a thumb push or a light tap. I have not yet had one which I would have to reject. The joints stay aligned during clamping. Yeah, the shipping cost from Canada makes them a lot more expensive but for me it's worth it. I paid a lot for my DowelMax and it's accuracy. I don't want my pins to negate that accuracy.

Not spiraled like the original dowels sold with dowelmax jigs but I contacted the dowelmax folks and was assured these provide the same strength and holding power as the spiral version originally sold by Laurier. No problems at all so far. Quality is just as good.

I have used several hundred of this brand of dowel and have had no problems. Other brands I have tried,some to loose some to tight. Not the case with this brand. They do take about 10 days to 2 weeks to deliver because they come from Canada, so keep a good supply on hand.

Just like dowelmax to perfectly size their dowels. A precision company consistently providing high wuality products. I will buy this item again.
