Some lost recipes!
Found some great old recipes ofmy grandmas era! thanks i thought i lost the “Rhode Island Style” clam chowder recipe as she called it. No cream or starch till the table. I love it this way.

Great for what it is.
Not exactly chock-full of a variety of recipes, but as a New Englander who loves to cook/eat with the seasons and enjoys traditional regional cuisine this book is a unique and invaluable resource.

I absolutely love this cookbook
I absolutely love this cookbook. It's a seasonal cookbook, which means instead of sections like "Soups" "Appetizers" or "Entrees", it's broken down by months and dates so that the recipes in those sections will reflect what is in season for fruits, vegetables, meats and seafoods, with an epilogue section devoted to regional restaurants famous dishes. It has some lovely old fashioned recipes, all simple downeast cooking and delicious. There are some family favorites, like scalloped oysters, chowders, and uncooked fruitcake.Highly recommend.
