R.O.S.E. HK Edition

Excellent album. Jessie J. should have been nominated for a Grammy as far as I am concerned.

I loved the entire CD, from beginning to the very end. Jessie J. is the real deal.

As always she sings her heart out.

Based on prior albums, Jessie J had earned auto-buy status with me. Today I saw she had an upcoming fall concert in my area which got me checking, "hey, she must have a new album out or coming out." So, I saw this album was released where I had never heard of it before. I googled around a bit and found an interview related to this new album where she talked down her prior work and this being more of what she always wanted to be. Whoa... what? Whenever I hear that, massive red flags go up... because, honestly, I liked her prior great songs, so odds are changing from that is going to more often than not move away from what I liked. So I went and previewed the album before committing to a purchase. And sadly, but not surprisingly, I found I do not care for this new style.Rihanna did this on her last album too (Anti) and I was so disappointed there too. What you get here, like Anti, is more-artsy and more laid back work... and, in general, for my taste, just not great songs. Now I have loved many great slower songs, so this is not as simple as being slow or not club worthy creating the viewpoint. This stuff is just a major step down from the past for me. The singing skills are still there, of course... but I just do not like the songs. In a nutshell, I find them boring. So, for me, after previewing the album, I lost any interest in wanting to buy a copy of it.When artists put down prior work you really enjoyed that they now claim they weren't all that into or proud of, it is hard not feel they were kinda lying to you back then. Kesha also did not like her earlier work and put out a very different last album... I didn't care for that one either. Same with Lady Gaga's last album Joanna. I miss the days of Bad Romance, Blow (Kesha), Masterpiece (Jessie J), and most of the older hits of Rihanna. Really good pop songs that got you singing along and moving. The newer things by all of them have been depressing in comparison to their past.I will add, artists should certainly do what they feel and want to do... but I far more admire those who do that out of the gate and fight to be themselves rather than build an entire fanbase on a style you later find out they are not even into really. That is so disappointing. Give me Billie Eilish or Melanie Martinez instead! Artists that are fighters and visionaries to do things their way right from the start.I actually feel bad I don't like these songs... but in the end, I have to be honest about that reality. :' (If you previously loved Jessie J's songs, be sure you preview this release first... it is massively different and will not appeal to all fans of her prior work. It is a definite "no" from me. Purchase aborted... not getting this album... and not getting those concert tickets now either.

Absolutely love this album. Jessie J is truly blessed. Every song is perfect. Definitely one for the ‘repeat’ button!!! Thank you Jessie J

Why this album didn't chart or get a UK release is beyond me .. R.O.S.E is a much more slicker r 'n' b vibe than previous albums and the power house vocals are toned down to a softer feel that works for the songs on it .. don't be put of by the price (HK Edition) it's well work paying the bit extra if you want the CD and are a Jessie J fan.

I LOVE this album. I'm so happy that I found this edition, where the case is made from acrylic. Well packed, received in the expected date. Beyond happy with my purchase! :)

Great album

Ich habe fast alle Alben von Jessie J..Dieses ist jedoch leider nicht mehr so abwechslungsreich wie die vorigen Alben. Viele Songs klingen ähnliche. Es gibt ca. drei Lieder die ich wirklich gern höre. Die restlichen sind nichts besonderes. Ich würde mir das Album nicht erneut kaufen.
