Want to use this when camping on electrical hookup, how many amps will it use.

This appliance is 1000 watts/240v. = 4.16 amps. Most uk hookups are 16 amps. So will work fine. Some campsites do go down to 6 A, but it is rare. Even on this you can run up to 1350 watts.

Why does the timer stop when it gwts to about 8 minites? It ticks until then and just stops ticking.

I don't have that problem with mine. I set it at 5 minutes to warm up and then set the timer again to cook the item. I must admit its trial and error at times getting the cooking time right.

What liners are used in the 2ltr air fryer

It has a non stick rack that you can place food .I bought some 160x45mm air fryer liner from Amazon.

how wide is the basket

It’s approx 17cm dia as the basket is round. Ideal for a single person but definitely not big enough for a family. Am pleased with mine but don’t use it a lot. Hope this helps!
