High Capacity 4000mAh Replacement Battery Compatible with 21.6V Battery

I bought from Dyson a refurbished vacuum, about 7 years ago. It has been the "go to" machine for daily cleanups, esp small quick touch ups, whereas the Roomba (another favorite machine) does the downstairs carpeted area. The battery from Dyson held up well, but had a marked date of 12/04 stamped on it, so when the run time plummeted, to about 15 seconds, I knew it was time to update the battery. My first call was to Dyson service center, which is about 1.5 hour drive from here. They wanted $100 for the battery and $75 for installation. I definitely needed a second opinion. For that price ($175 total) it seemed a new machine was perhaps a better choice than trying to nurse along the old one. But I looked at a YouTube short video on the battery swap, and was emboldened by how easy it looked. Plus there were YouTube walk throughs of how to do a complete cleanout of the nooks and crannies of the DC59 machine! So I spring for this battery. It was truly a 5 minute swap out; take the old Lithium battery to BestBuy for recycling! Don't just trash it; keep it out of the landfill and you are doing a little bit to save this beleaguered Earth home. Do the cleanup per the video (which takes a bit longer, but tell yourself "Dyson was going to charge me $75 for this, and a 3 hour round trip drive" and it will be worth it. Total spent was probably 30 minutes, and some dry time for the conical filter in the center of the motor chamber. The battery has a nice feature missing from the original. The status light is blue while charging, and switches to green when fully charged. I couldn't be happier, and will volunteer to update my daughter's Dyson (a gift from us) when it is time. Part of the full service parent role, and will earmark this battery as the brand to choose!!

So far so good. I've only had it a couple of days but I used to have to charge factory battery twice to get the whole place completely. I live in a trailer by the way. There are a couple things that are odd though. One thing is that when I put it in the charging dock that I bought from Amazon, I have to push the vacuum up for it to start charging, where with the factory battery all I had to do was simply put it in the dock and walk away. The second issue is that there's a half second delay after I pull the "trigger" before it actually activates. To me they are really a non-issue but I just figured I'd let people know about them. But it's battery life is practically double that of the factory battery and that alone would make me put up with a lot more serious issues for it to change my opinion that it is a great upgrade.

Now blinks red whenever plugged in. (yes, I made sure it wasn't hot; it's been blinking for days.)

I bought this as a replacement battery for my cordless Dyson V6. This is the 3rd time Ive had to replace the battery on that thing. It's cheaper to buy a new battery than it is to buy a whole new Dyson that's for sure! I've had this battery in for a little over a week now and the first thing I noticed is that once the battery is fully charged a green light appears on each side. My other batteries didn't do that so I liked that. No more guessing. Now I can determine the approximate length of time it takes to fully charge it when it dies. The green light is so bright though I find it annoying at night so I did put a piece of tape over the light on one side. Not a big deal. I gave this 4 out of five stars because I'm not sure how long this battery will last yet before it goes bad, and I fell like my vacuum isn't running as long as it used to before it gets drained. If anything changes I will update my review in the future. But I will say this particular battery is much more affordable than the other two I went through. About 20 bucks cheaper so if it lasts atleast as long as the other two batteries did then I'll be happy with that and buy again.

Works like a charm and better than the original. Took about 5 minutes to install.We have a Dyson DC59 Motorhead. It easily tripled the vacuum time on regular settings and powers the unit superbly. We have had the battery for a few months now. Great purchase.If you have a Phillips head screw driver and five minutes that is all you need to install it.Costs 1/3 of the official Dyson replacement battery but has double the power rating.Get it if you are having a short battery life or if your vacuum is shutting down at odd time and exhibiting strange behavior.Our problem did not initially seem like a bad battery. Some days it would be fine and others we could not vacuum for more than 30 seconds.

My Dyson was dying after a few seconds of run time, and I figured the battery was dying (I have had the Dyson for many years now) .. so looked at getting a replacement. Was torn between getting a third party battery replacement versus one from the manufacturer. However, I realized that for the price of the battery, I was almost 3/5ths of the way to simply getting a new one. I figured I'd give this 3rd party battery pack a shot and if it worked, it would prolong the life of my Dyson, otherwise I would just get a new one.Well, it works! I have had it for several months now and no issues at all. The Dyson works like new. Saved me a ton of cash.

Very easy to install and works great after several weeks.My only complaint is the wall charging cable does not slip into the charging port as smoothly as before - we need to pay attention and double-check the vacuum is plugged in.Overall very happy with the purchase

The ultimate difference between an old vacuum and a new vacuum.... BUT...
