Thank you for your question. Yes, the FoxEye does record video and audio. The hardware and default audio file specs are: Audio System - Built-in microphone/speaker (AAC). If you have trouble playing/hearing the audio for a video you have recorded, you may have to:

-Covert the audio data to a format compatible with your audio player. 
-Download an audio player that can play or auto-convert AAC type audio data. 
-Download an update or AAC codec extension to your current media player. You can normally find this at the application's website.

Actually, we are located in the United States. I am sorry you feel I am "idiotic", and apologize to the customer. Let me clarify. As you have stated, the MAXIMUM supported memory is 32GB, but you can operate it with one as small as 2GB (recommended minimum). As for the size discrepancy, SD cards actually come in various sizes. The older "standard size" sd card will not fit in this unit. There are adapters for micro-sd cards to fit in the older larger slot commonly found on cameras and laptops, albeit older, but still very much in circulation. I am sure you are aware of this JT-Rev6. This port was recently removed from most Apple laptops and other devices, thus it is an important variable for those considering purchasing this so they can determine if they have the correct sd card or if they need to purchase one. Thus the difference between the memory size, or capacity rather, and the size of the actual physical card is where the miscommunication occurred. If connected via usb, will it act as a webcam? i need an ir webcam that isn't cloud based.

No, The FoxEye does not function as a web camera and is primarily used for video and audio recording.  While we are sure there are some clever ways out there to configure it to do so, possibly along with some software, etc., we recommend purchasing a mini camera from Amazon with web camera or "IP" capabilities. Does this camera work in cold temperatures?

Generally, batteries of all types tend to perform poorly in cold temperatures. Lithium ion batteries (and others) can charge improperly or not at all and sometimes cannot function or supply power to the device. The temperatures that this can occur will vary depending on the battery. For the FoxEye, especially given the size of the battery, we cannot and DO NOT recommend this unit if you plan on operating in cold temperatures. While the FoxEye can function in cold weather, we cannot guarantee it will meet your expectations in this arena. We recommend a higher end mini camera and/or one that specifically is suited for cold temperatures. Stay Clever!
