Excellent read
For once, the 5-star rating fits, and all the OMGTHISBOOKISSOGOOD reviews are on point. The coverart does not do this series justice. It's very enjoyable, and not overly naughty or anything smutty. It is also not your typical teacher/student relationship stuff. The world is so unique, the end leaves you craving more. The rules of magic and "gods" are intriguing and cleverly implemented. Normal people in a not so normal world, basically. It's very charming.I highly recommend this one, but have to warn you that you will NOT want to stop with just book 1. Plan on buying both and you'll be left with that warm fuzzy feeling, along with a bittersweet pang of "I wish there were more!" Not a bad feeling to have at all. :)

Okay, it's Good Yaoi, but...
There's verbs and nearly a thousand other words missing! There's only partial sentences, like "The boy came from behind the house with what a three wheeled bicycle that was at least a decade old." Shouldn't that be "what /looked like/ a three wheeled ..."!?Jezuzi! It's like no one even bothered to beta read this before publishing it! Yes, I'm a Grammer Freak, and I can accept Duncan's poor speech and writing because he's 'not as well educated', but when the /FREAKIN' NARRATOR/ can't write, it's pathetic!I'm only giving it three stars because I liked the yaoi and the concept, otherwise, it was written terribly.

Not bad but full of stuffing
Lets start at the positives:-Unique spin on the soulmate trope and the older man/younger man pairing-Clean writing-interesting storyNow the negatives:-This story was full of telling and not enough showing, i re-read the part where they realized they were soulmates and the sentence felt so flat there was no elation, nervousness, nothing. I was so confused-The story itself ends at the 39% mark on my kindle tablet, the rest of the book is just stuffing and promotion of other books.

Deserves more STARS *******
This is one of so many books I have either in manga form, print graphic novel or e-books that I have read from this author. She is brilliant. She comes up with all these worlds, creations, characters, life forms....amazing. This is yet another example of her different thinking. Yes, it is a taboo teacher-student type book, BUT not your ordinary world, time or it would seem not even the same planet. The author throws in enough details that make me think that we are suspended from regular earth thinking. There is an entity that is like their "God" that is not mentioned like each persons different religion. The idea is interesting. I couldn't wait for the next part either. I came to get it the same day it got put up. I do think the cover art makes the teacher look like a pervert and the boy way too young. The information clearly states that he is 19yrs. that boy looks like a 4th grader. Reading the story you don't picture him like that. He is clearly a MAN in his persona and looks and ideas. Read the story. You won't be sorry.

Disappointed
This story was so short that even if it was twice as long, it too would be so very short. Leaves you disappointed with so many unanswered questions, what happen the remainder of the school year with the young man and his teacher (lover). Not much about the Oracle but played a major rule. I believe this book needs to be rewritten, there is so good writing in it but again too short. The next book seems to be another story, is it just as short. Yamila Abraham needs to sit down and finish the story without so many questions at the end.

Lovely, one of the best.
I was gonna give it 4 stars just because I think the ending was inconclusive, but I cannot do it. This story is good, and I say good I mean "GOOOOD!" From the beginning the story is catchy, it's the type of book that you get to the end and don't notice you've been reading for a while. The writer has a lovely way to write, definitively I'm gonna look up more of her work. This is Shounen Ai rather than Yaoi so I highly recommend it for beginners and people who are curious about the boyslove world.

How seems like it was on to be a good read
Not a great read. You would have to ..assume which character was saying what to often. Yes I bought several titles from author hoping the best but greatly disappointed. List a good group of free books but Not. Only give you about 10% of books and then want something from you. Listed this book as one and it's Not. Could say more . ...

More like a teaser to buy a book, than a complete story
While I will admit the story had me intrigued for some of it, for the most part it needed more sights, sound and smells. It felt a little pedantic in it's telling.I thought the soulmate trope was different and cold have been very interesting, but since the "book" just stopped right in the middle of what I can only assume was the main plot of the story, I have no idea if it would have held my interest.I have read serial books before, and if I know what I'm getting into, the I don't mind. But even with a serialized book set, there has to be a clear mini conclusion to each section. This just stops dead.Think of it this way, if the book had stopped right in the middle of a character's reply it would have felt like this.Unless you're willing to sign up for the site or mailing list or whatever it is you need to get the whole book, I wouldn't start this otherwise. Because I think the more you like the beginning, the more mad you'll be when it abruptly stops.
