I have allergies to wool, but not Alpaca. This throw keeps me warm without itching or needing another blanket. It is the softest blanket I own. The only downside is that dark materials seem to pick up the loose alpaca fur very easily, but that was expected. Well worth the price, although it looks as the price has increased from $261.00 to $314.00 since I purchased it on March 3, 2014.
