HAMMOCKS RADAHandmade Yucatan Hammock - Matrimonial Size (2-Blues)

Bought 2 hammocks in mex 2 years ago and they finally fell apart. bought 2 of these - this hammock is well made, sturdy... just add a book and a rum and coke.

I loved this hammock in the beginning, it's very comfortable. However, I'm surprised to see how quickly it is coming apart after only 2 months...very disappointing. The grandkids love how easy it is to get into and out of. I've purchased Mayan hammocks in the past directly while in the Mayan region of Mexico and have never had this issue.

I like the hammock but they sent me the wrong color.

Love this hammock and the color. The hammock is big enough fit on a large hammock stand. My hammock stand is smaller so I had to knot it and it’s still great. It’s soft and big enough to wrap around a little like a blanket if it gets windy.

I LOVE this hammock. We vacationed in Belize last year and I spent a lot of time in the hammock on the porch of our bungalow. I wanted one for home, and went searching for a hand woven one like I used in Belize. So glad I found this; it is beautiful and I like supporting local artisans. I got the 'marital' size because I didn't like any of the colors available in the single and it is HUGE - much wider and longer than expected so it almost completely surrounds me unless I put my arms out to hold it open, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Because I don't have a place to permanently hang it, I purchased a 9ft hammock stand with the 'Y' shape at the ends (couldn't find a longer one that didn't cost a fortune). The hammock itself is about 13ft long, and I was almost touching the ground with the hooks in the lowest pre-drilled hole so my husband drilled one additional hole on each end of the stand and now it is perfect for me. The hammock is definitely sturdy enough to hold two people, but you would need a bigger stand or to suspend it in a larger space to account for the stretch when occupied.

I have owned a hammock like this one before and I still have most of it. A third of it is missing on one side from wear, and the remaining two thirds is still bigger than this so called matrimonial sized hammock. This one does not easily spread out to fit my full height and is not the most relaxing hammock. I am also not so sure that it is at all big enough to fit two adult people.

We bought this to replace a 20 year old previous hammock of the same design. It gave us many years of happy relaxation and I'm looking forward to many more with the new one. I love the intense colours and the hand-made feel of the hammock, and it looks fantastic hanging and ready for use.Delivery was much faster than expected and I was delighted to get it in time for a warm and sunny Christmas break.

We bought a hammock in Mexico 12 years ago for our home and love it. I have been looking In stores and online for one just like it and couldn’t never find one for our cottage. It’s hand made and such good quality. We couldn’t be happier with it. I don’t like hammocks made out of cloth material or when they have the wood keeping them spread apart. Nothing compares to these hand made hammocks! It’s woven and you can wrap yourself in it like a cocoon but still see out, our kids love them. We actually bought 2 and have no regrets!
