The double sided tape has a yellow side and a white side. Which color corresponds to the door side?

Actually it does not matter. However, the yellow side is a bit easier to peel off than the white side. Hope that helps:)

Can the hole at the back hook on to a nail? Therefore I can nail it to the wall or thumbtack

Sorry, there's no hole at the back and it could not be nailed to the door. There are 4 magnets on the back and the double sided adhesive pads are included in the package. Hope that helps:)

Does this come assembled? Could new labels be added by customer to customize?

Yes, it's already assembled with the message disc. I don't believe the disc can be replaced. I'm teleworking and am unable to check it at my office. You may want to reach out to the manufacturer or search for a customized one from Amazon

Could i customize it by overlapping with removable stickers?

Yes, I believe you could do that. I’ve never taken mine apart, so, if that’s possible, would probably make it easier to customize- otherwise, you might be restricted to just overlapping within the “window” where the words show through.
