This paint is capable of creating a nice hammered finish, but it is not the easiest to achieve. It needs a properly prepared surface (flat and smooth) and needs to go on a little heavier to achieve the hammered finish. But not too heavy or it can run. Keep the surface flat for best results. Practice on less important items first if possible.
