Wonderful gloves, by every right.
BASIC REVIEW---Typically wearing a large, they fit perfectly. Absolutely no break in period required. Extremely comfortable. Easy on/off without too much hassle.Perhaps some trouble finding a place to stick them when not wearing them. Running some wire, or other non-flammable material, through the grommets and hanging them off a D-ring on your belt may alleviate this problem.WELDING REVIEW---Insulation pads in forearms really do allow you to rest on hot surfaces while working. it gets hot, but tolerable. Suffice it to say they get rather warm after prolonged work. hands will sweat.Being a bit oafish and heavy handed I have ruined my off-hand glove thinking I can use it to just flip that piece of hot work over real quick. You don't feel the heat so you think its fine until you look at your glove after a few days and notice a bunch of large, glaring holes in the black portions.Works great for 4F/4,5,6G, as it seems designed that way.Watch the black portions as they seem more susceptible to extreme heat/spatter/molten droplets than the yellow portions, I see scarring all over the yellow, but holes pretty much all over the black portions that catch all my spatter. If you're the kind of welder that just doesn't ever produce spatter/molten droplets, even in overhead, then disregard this portion.Kevlar stitches hold up very well to touching very hot work. A few frayed ends and some portions completely burned away but they don't unravel.NON-WELDING REVIEW---Heat tolerance combined with coverage and flexibility means they work very well for pretty much any job that requires you touching hot work. Baking, cooking, BBQ-ing, fire pits, whatever you can think of. Just don't expect to use them in these situations for long periods of time without suffering some sort of damage to the gloves.NON-WELDING REVIEW---

Cat wrangling & Wood burning stove
After reviews I didn't get them for welding but use as gloves to use for upset cats, pets. They fit well and seem to work for that but will update as use them more.UPDATE- March 2022. So in 2021 Texas suffered a bad winter storm so we put in a wood burning stove insert. (We lost heat for 22 hours at 5F - two blocks over they lost heat for 5 days). The stove is exceptional. But it is capable of hitting high heat. These gloves are AWESOME!! I used the regularly in and around the stove that gets up to 600F, even as high as 640F inside. The door and surrounding metal can be 300-400F. My hands are actually cool (swear it!) while these gloves are on. I like that the shafts go beyond my elbows. A few times I inadvertently grazed the open door and it burned the gloves (only slight black marks) but no injury.I like them so much that I decided to buy a second pair for reserve. At some point these current ones will be simply used too much. That’s their purpose. I doubt the gloves will still be available when they wear out after years and years. They handled 10-12 fires well. I assume I could have 4-5 years of their use. Whatever it is they are worth it. Again 600F.Those that complain about they failing probably are using them in a high heat commercial setting. If you are in a firestorm or the equivalent (2,000F) I cannot speak if another brand will hold up better in the dragon’s mouth. Good luck with that. But for most consumer’s uses in heat settings- they will do what they should, prevent your hands/arms from injury.I definitely recommend them. And yes, we still can wrangle cats.

Fantastic Product
Ok,I'll preface this by saying I'm on the line of serious hobbyist and professional welder. I do 90% SMAW (stick) welding and maybe 10% GTAW (Tig) welding. I bought these gloves to help me work on passing my B31.3 pipe test, which is a 5-pass stick weld, and requires a LOT of arc time. I don't like the "redneck suntan" on my arms, so these being nice and long, I ordered.Out of the box, a nicely made glove. They fit my hands well (I wear a L in Mechanix wear) and the extra long sleeves are GREAT! There is padding on the forearm, which allows me to lean on a hot piece of pipe for the hot, fill and cap passes, and not get the $*** burned out of me. The black leather on the palms and rear is nice looking, and appears durable. Now - the nitty gritty: They weld VERY well. Better than I do....good dexterity, good heat resistance, (not great, but leather can only do so much), and although a layman might find them funny looking, anyone who does serious welding will really appreciate the length. They get a little hot inside, but that is to be expected with a glove. I can TIG in these just fine, although they are a little thick to manipulate the filler rod just how I want it, but the protection cannot be beat.Highly advise picking up a pair, we will see how they do in longevity, but I think they will do just fine. Nothing lasts forever.

I love this brand
These gloves are the best I’m on my second pair in six years. I use them ONLY for welding , no material handling, no grinding ,just welding. they have lasted me for a very long time . Comfortable right out of the box , high heat doesn’t affect them much .. I’ll not buy another brand

Excellent Protection
I am a welding student so i've done everything you're not supposed to do with these gloves (i.e. grab/hold really hot metal, accidently get them wet from the dunk tank, set them on fire, etc.) I can't TIG with them, but GMAW-ST, FCAW, SMAW, plasma cutting, oxy these gloves definitely have protected my hands (which are smaller than average for a female) and arms. I am buying a second pair soon, cause after a year of serious learning curves, they really stood up to the abuse and have the scars to prove it. But my hands and forearms are scar free. Excellent product!! I will update with pics when I get my new pair for comparison.
