Well maid, setting up is straightforward, just follow the instructions, the display is clear, don't gat hung up about the weather graphics, there are only a few different graphics that change with the barometric pressure. It is good value for money, there is weather prediction, accurate time display , inside temperature and humidity, and outside temperature.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  Nice unit however the screen fades out at eyeline. This means if you want to be able to read it at ant time of day your eyeline must be higher than the display. As we have a low sofa the weather station has to be 18" from the floor in order to see the display.If you want it wall mounted then this is not the unit for you.All said and done its an acurate piece of kit let down only by the display.

The weather station comes with 1 outdoor sensor that can be either used outdoors or put on the different floor/area in the house if you want to see the difference in the temperature or humidity. It can work from both batteries and USB cable but if both are inserted than it uses USB to power up. It's actually smaller than I thought it would be but that suits me even better as it fits on the TV stand shelf easily and can be plugged in to console USB there. The readings are pretty accurate comparing to the weather outside. Only on one occasion I think it said that it's raining when it wasn't but apart from that matched reasonably well. I just wish it would have option to come with several sensors, so I can put them in multiple areas of the house and outdoors to see the difference. Very easy to set up and connected to the sensor straight away without any issues. It took couple of hours max to adjust to the outside temperature correctly. You also have option to either have the screen light up or turned off. It would be even better if it had light sensor for the screen and turned off depending on the light exposure. Also while on batteries only the screen backlight doesn't stay to save the battery which I guess is good in somewhat as it would make them last longer

Straightforward to set up, and worked perfectly with the outside sensor under the shed eaves, about 20m away from the base unit. When I looked online for additional sensors, I drew a blank. What's the point of having multiple sensor channels, if you don't actually retail the additional sensor modules?A couple of months on: The sensor is reading the outside temperature some 5-6 degrees C higher than the adjacent min/max mercury thermometer. It recorded a temperature of 25C , when the mercury device read a more realistic 19C (we have a south-facing walled garden, in the UK’s driest village).

Good quality bright display, exactly as on picture, clear visible from different angles, shows max and min data in memory. Recommend !

I bought this to replace an existing weather station that I keep on a shelf (slightly lower than eye level) in my living room. Its outdoor sensor had stopped working so I thought I'd buy a new toy. It arrived promptly enough and was easy to set up. I had presumed its clock was radio controlled like most stations these days but it turned out to be manual. Not a deal breaker, so I popped it on the shelf, connected it to the mains and sat on the sofa barely 10 feet away, to enjoy my new colour display. Unfortunately, the LCD display was only visible at eye level and as soon as I sat down, the characters completely disappeared! I tried fiddling with the rather flimsy built-in stand to adjust the angle but nothing worked. Returned pronto for a refund. One star for prompt delivery and ease of set up.

You would think they would get the basics right first. There is no reason you should not be able to be read this when you are lower than the display. I can read my smart meter accross the room while sitting on the sofa. Not this unit..

I have amended my original review as the Seller contacted me over my previous difficulties and sent a replacment unit which right away and since has worked flawlessly. I am now very happy with this device as it does all I needed it to and has not lost contact with the outside sensor since it arrived about a week ago which was my problem with the previous unit.It has to be mentioned that the Customer Service is absolutely outstanding.Original review belowThis unit looks good and I was happy with it at first but almost immediately ran into problems. I bought this to replace a unit I have had for about 3 years which worked fine but did not have a backlit screen and as itis placed next to my bed , such a facility is quite useful. The outdoor sensor was in the exact same place as the prevous unit but have since found that the receiver loses the signal almost daily and does not regain it, which is quite frustrating. I like most of the other features about the unit but if it cannot keep in contact with the sensor which is close by but outside it really isn't a lot of use.I would have maybe been a bit more forgiving if I hadn't had the prvious device working trouble free in the exact same positions for several years prior to getting this
