The only real competition to my fountain pens are my Parker rollerballs.
I'm a fountain pen user but i have to hand it to Parker.. they make a terrific rollerball refill. I love the shade of deep blue. More deep than most medium blues. It never hard starts. Good value and the writing experience in two pens is quite smooth.. Parker makes good ink, and refills. I wish I had gotten to try the old Parker blue/black before they changed the formula a few years ago, but that ink is pretty decent too.

Superior to the Chinese knockoff refills I tried before. Smooth flow and even color.

Very Good at Being Consistently Bad
I am genuinely impressed with how bad these are. By some foul rite in the dark arts, they are equally bad no matter how good your paper is. Whether it is expensive paper designed for fountain pens, or cheap copy paper, it will feather and bleed through exactly the same amount. And somehow, in the midst of all that gushing wet ink, you still end up with dry starts, especially on short strokes. I like Parker stuff, but these refills are a fantastic disappointment. And it's only type this nice pen will accept! I'll use them up, I guess, and then get a nice pen that accepts Pilot Precise V5 refills.
