Nice rods but no tube and cheaper components
No particular blame to ReeFlyRod.com as they shipped it fast, but rod sells without a carry tube, and is shipped in a cardboard box with no packing. The box arrived bent almost in two. The rod may be salvageable but I'm returning it in case it cracked. This is the first fly rod I've ever bought that did not include a tube. Also the photo is not accurate as it does indeed have a fighting butt, but it's the smallest fighting butt I"ve ever seen. These rod have nice action but you have to spend more if you want a tube, better butt and better reel seat components.

looks like my 5wt rod which I love, can't wait to get on the water with it. The build quality is exceptional.

The long bomb
This rod can really chuck a line. I purchased this rod over some much more expensive rods after reading the Yellowstone Angler's shootout review, and I have not been disappointed. I have thrown sinking tip lines for massive rainbows in Alaska and fished for steelhead in Northern Idaho with this rod and highly suggest it if you are planning on going the distance (100 plus feet with a good double haul).Do not get any grit in the reel seat, however, because the double-locking system threads are very sensitive and can jam up.TFO will replace a broken rod no questions asked, so this is a very solid investment.
