I bought this for my 96 year old dad who has significant hearing loss. He lost and stepped on a few hearing aids and we couldn't afford to keep replacing them. This amplifier works great and is simple to use. We are more than happy with it. He hears well with it.

REIZEN MIGHTY LOUD EAR IS 10 X'S BETTER THAN MIRACLE EAR I CAN FINALLY HEAR TALKING MOST IMPORTANATLY I CAN HEAR MY GRANDKIDS .THAT REALLY WORRIED ME NOT BEING ABLE 2 HEAR MY GRANDKIDS IF THEY WERE IN TROUBLE. THE MIRACLE EAR WAS ADJUSTABLE EVEN THE HIGHEST SETTING COULDN'T HEAR PEOPLE REIZEN MIGHTY LOUD EAR IS 10 X'S BETTER THAN MIRACLE EAR & I PAID $ 7000.00 4 MIRACLE EAR BULLCRAP NOT EVEN CLOSE 2 REIZEN MIGHTY LOUD .REIZEN MIGHTY LOUD EAR HAS ADJUSTABLE VOL WHICH IS GREAT.

This gadget helped an elderly friend of mine with 70% hearing loss. He lost and / or broke his hearing aids and was unable to get new ones until the insurance company paid which was delayed. I bought these for him and we are now able to communicate with him. We use a small set of earphones (not provided) instead of the earbuds which are provided. He had trouble keeping the earbuds in but the small headphones work. This amplifier remedied my elderly friend's hearing loss for only $50 compared to $thousands for hearing aids. I guess when his new hearing aids finally arrive, he will use those. But this amplifier will always be "on hand" as a backup. In the nursing home where my friend lives, things , like hearing aids, are not always sufficiently guarded, protected or maintained. That's why this $50 fix for his hearing loss, though probably not as good as thousand dollar hearing aids, has been very helpful to us.

This was bought for my mother's girlfriend. She's 96 years old and is extremely hard of hearing. She asked me to look for something online like the hearing amplifier she already had. She hates hearing aids and will only wear a sound magnifier. I looked online and this seemed perfect for her. She had gummy earbuds for it and they work. It takes 3.5mm buds which is the same one's you use for an iphone or ipod. So they're pretty generic. She had it for about 2 years before she needed another one. She loves it and hears perfectly. So this is the second one. If you think about it $55 every 2 years compared to my mother spending $3k for one hearing aid every 4 years or so and she consistently has trouble with it, I'd buy this.

My husband uses this every day. We found that it gave better results with a better grade of earbuds than the ones that came with the amplifier. It works so well that he has to motion to me to lower my voice. This little amplifier has made a huge difference in the quality of our lives. Several of his doctors have asked him about the "box in his pocket". When we explain what it is and how well it works, they are very impressed. One of the doctors even said, "why pay thousands of dollars for hearing aids when this little gadget can accomplish the same thing." We are very pleased.

I love it! My old hearing aids were broken and it was 3 weeks before I could get new ones. I have a severe hearing loss (80% loss in right hear and 75% loss in left ear) and I cannot hear without hearing aids. This device enabled me to hear well until hearing aids arrived. I used my own head phones because they were of better quality and I hate the ear-bud style. I will continue to use in restaurants so that I can hear my own table conversations better and other situations like it. The other brands only offered 50dB and I recommend Reizen 120dB for anyone with hearing loss.

bought this to replace my two hearing aids which quit working. could not keep the buds in my ears. the sound was too loud, and it seemed the further away the sound was, the louder it was and overwhelmed the closer sounds. was unable to get any use from this.
