Updated Review
This cap seems well made. Although the description did not mention Midwest cans; I bought this because a reviewer had noted it fit Midwest cans. The can I bought from HF? It did not fit. The thread pitch was different. While being plastic, I did try to force it on. It does try. Thread pitch looked about double that of the can, but it would not go on far enough to seal properly. Both caps were the same.27 Sep, 2021Ok, I wrote this review not remembering Amazon (I assume Amazon) does not always get reviews on to the correct product page. Within hours after the original review went up; I got a message from the seller wanting to make things right. They were very quick and helpful. As for the proper cap? Like the improper ones, they are well made. Seems very durable, and the proper one fits the can perfectly with no leaks. So, when ordering, just make sure you get the cap that fits your can. This review is under the black cap, but I needed the yellow one to fit my Midwest jerry can. EZ-Pour gets 5 stars for promptly getting me the correct cap.Thank you EZ-Pour

Excellent Replacement!
Absolutely great! These fit my 6 Gallon Midwest cans perfectly and don't leak a drop. I threw the other crap that came with the jug away. Get these for the 6 gallons jugs and the yellow ones for your 5 gallon Blitz jugs. You will not be disappointed.Update: Just bounced my jugs around for 300+ miles in the mountains as I scouted for elk. These were on the roof of my SUV, getting shaken and bounced around violently all day. Not a single drop leaked the whole time. I was shocked they held up to that severe beating! Be careful when you open your cans after having these lids on as they work very well and you can expect a bit of pressure to build up as a result.

Worked like a charm
I took my plastic red gas can to gas station to fill it up. I did not notice the black cap (says squeeze tab and turn because it has a weird child protective lip on it that was annoying) had split in the center around half way around the inside of the cap right above the long arrow which points which way to turn. This 1" or more split was hard to see but it sure was easy to tell something was wrong because gas fumes escaped into my car and later into my garage. I didn't notice the split in the center of the top until I closely examined it.This gray cap worked perfectly. I tipped the plastic gas can side to side and almost upside down and no leaking...and no more gas fumes.

Great simple cap...(not usable for Blitz cans but great for Midwest)
Blitz 5 gallon plastic gas cans. I was very excited about these caps. The threads match fine but the caps are just a hair to long to seal properly. So I sanded off the lip at the bottom of the cap and it sealed fine on 5 of my 6 cans. The 6th can must not be quite flat on the top of the spout. As I cranked down on the cap, it warped a bit and then tried to cross-thread. I guess that lip at the bottom adds some strength. If I did it again, I'd only sand off half the lip as there was plenty of clearance after sanding the lip.Caveat...I did this on a cold day (25 degrees F). If it had been warmer the rubber seals may be quicker to conform to the random un-flatness of the can spouts. The caps only have 2 threads whereas the garbage safety spout OEM caps had 4 threads so that I could crank down on them harder.Otherwise I love these caps. No goofy safety spout, no safety tab to push in to open and I usually use multiple cans at a time to refill boat/car tank so I only need one spout for all my cans.UPDATE - 2 weeks later and the temperatures have warmed up (40 degrees F) and the caps are all sealed tightly. I think the sealing and warping problems were all temperature related. I wouldn't have been twisting down so hard on the caps if they had sealed and they probably would have sealed nicely if it had been a bit warmer.UPDATE - 8 months later and these things keep not sealing on my blitz cans. I've sanded them, modified the gaskets tried them on different cans but nothing works. I think there are 2 problems. First, the aforementioned thread problem. With only 2 threads, they "strip" and won't hold tight. Second, the OEM Blitz caps I have use a "compression" type sealing mechanism like on 1/4" copper tubing fittings. These gasket-type do not seat on the top of the cans well, especially with only 2 threads.I'm going to leave the 4 stars. I do have one oddball Midwest gas can and these caps fit perfectly on that can.SUMMARY - Great for Midwest 5 gallon cans but NOT for Blitz 5 gallon cans.HOORAY! I finally read the EZ Pour website and found their YELLOW caps are designed for the Blitz cans. I got some of those and they sealed up nice and leak free. The threads on the yellow caps are a little farther apart than the threads on the gray caps. I thought they gray ones were bottoming out but they were just cross threading. I'm so excited the yellow ones worked.

Works great on the Briggs & Stratton and Most of the New EPA nozzle bottles.
I have 7 of the 5 gallon gas bottles with the stupid new EPA nozzles. I purchased 2 of these grey caps and two of the yellow because I didn't know which would fit my gas bottles. I found that the grey caps fit nearly all of my bottles whereas the yellow caps only fit one bottle. These include the Briggs & Stratton bottles and the others where you have to squeeze the childproof detent on the side of the cap. The Yellow only fit a bottle designed where you had to press down on the detent to remove the nozzle. It also had a yellow nozzle as opposed to black for the others. I turned a full bottle on it's side with the grey cap and it didn't leak. Since finding that out, I have purchase 4 more of the grey caps. I will have all my gas bottles capped and only keep one nozzle for them incase I ever want to struggle with one of those. I normally just pour gas directly from the bottle into a funnel anyway as it's a lot easier and I spill less.

Ez gas cap replacement
Ok product, cap does not lock when fully tightened, at least keeps fuel from pouring out, but will still leak if can is full and shuck.
