What stops the pressure from simply lifting the flapper in the tank?

I watched the video for how you're supposed to use this and it will DEFINITELY push dirty water back up into the tank if used as directed. Then you have to go in and clean the toilet tank because they usually have a ridge around the flapper and never empty completely. It's gonna make a mess.
